What is your motivation to join this graduate scheme at Asda?

What achievements are you most proud of to date?

I love learning new things and I am a curio person. I believe that my skills, qualifications and experience are tailored to the position and therefore I think I can utilise my abilities to the maximum.

I’m very results-driven. Doing a good job and achieving the desired end result is my primary motivation. While I enjoy working on a project on my own, I’m particularly motivated by the buzz of working in a team. It’s very rewarding working closely with others who share the same common goal. I like to take on a challenge; I like to rise to that challenge as part of a concerted team effort – and I naturally appreciate it when my boss compliments me for a job well done.

I would always have liked to work in a successful, resourceful company such as Asda. Working in Asda can enable me to gain enormous amount of knowledge and information that could develop my skills. I love working with people. Interacting with people is what gets me out of bed every morning. This job opportunity is a perfect position for enhancing my career as I can learn a lot about working environment.

I’ve applied for this vacancy because it’s an excellent match for my skills and experience - and because it represents a challenge, which I know, I’ll relish. I clearly already have extensive experience of leading a group-based project in Kingston University. I’m particularly interested in managing multiple projects simultaneously. Your company clearly stood out when I was researching about it.

Every goal I've set I've mastered. My greatest accomplishment is graduating from University that I performed very well in any task that is assigned to me and I was completed my assignments before deadlines and I always make sure all my work are correct and well performed. It was a great challenge.  While we certainly did have a tough time

Please provide examples of when you have effectively demonstrated leadership skills.

What skills and experiences do you think you can bring to Asda?

I am going to examine the team performance on critical events for producing 5 minutes video as well as my leadership performance for my Leadership and Management module.

• I scheduled a meeting of the full team to discuss strategies.• I communicated my appreciation for all of their hard work during a challenging time for the project. • I asked for their assistance in identifying ways for us all to be more efficient –including me!• I made it clear that this was a brainstorming meeting to come up with options — that no idea was stupid and that it was a safe environment for making suggestions.• We spent time capturing ideas on a white board, then voted on the five with the most potential. I then assigned each person to do more research on how we might implement one of the ideas.• I as a group leader suggested a novel idea about recording the film with animation-styled format. We all agreed. Managing changes are an important part of self-management of emotional intelligence• My strong communication skills helped to enhance the group effectiveness to solve the problems. I am a flexible person that can deal with unforeseen changes, review the situation and make a right decision at the right time.

• Knowledge-Based Skills: Acquired from education and experience (e.g., computer skills, Accounting skills, Operation management, Marketing and CSR).

• Transferable Skills:  job (e.g., communication skills, analytical problem solving planning skills and decision making)

• Personal Traits: (dependable, flexible, friendly, hard working, expressive, formal, punctual and being a team player).

I clearly already have extensive experience of leading a group-based project in Kingston University. I’m particularly interested in managing multiple projects simultaneously. Your company clearly stood out when I was researching about it. Asda has been one of my businesses for years. When I saw there was an opportunity for employment here, I was very excited at the possibility of becoming part of the team. I really enjoy working with people in supermarket industry, and helping customers. This seems like a really interesting place to work, with the variety of items and services that you offer, and I feel that given the opportunity, I could be an asset to the team. I would welcome the opportunity to learn about a new business, and share my expertise in selling.
