First Part

The Objective of this presentation:

To show Some Values benefited

from Different Places visited.

We will show in this presentation some values

only and the educators can think about other

values which can be provided

Real Educators are those who take any chance in any

place to educate values or morals in persons with them.

We notice that parents take their children outside

their home most of the days like Masjids,

Markets, Petrol Stations and so on.

Masjid Masjid is the most loved place to Allah. The educator can provide

many values in this holy place.

Before we start talking about values, we should remind the

educators – if they are males – to perform prayers in Masjid. If the

educators are not example in this field, the values which are taught

won‟t be strong enough.

- Relation with Allah is one of the

most important value that can be

taught in Masjid especially that it

is the place for prayer which is

the most important worship.

- Cleanness is very important

value that can be taught since it

is related with prayer and Masjid.

Allah says: “O Children of Adam!

wear your beautiful apparel at

every time and place of prayer”

(Al-A'raf 31).

- Knowing people and being social

can be taught also as important

values since masjid is a place

that Muslims meet together many

times.

- Muslim‟s Unity is an important

value which masjid can provide

since all people from different

levels are doing same

movements behind one person

(Imam) to the same place

(Qiblah).

- The sense of beauty while

seeing different designs of

Masjids throughout the world.

prayer and the result of it is what

Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him)

Said: “Seven persons are whom

Allah will give Shade of His

Thrown on the Day when there

would be no shade other than His

Throne's Shade: - one of them

are - a man whose heart is

attached to masjid”. [Al-Bukhari].

Graveyards Graveyards are one of the best places to educate people

since they have very great values.

It should be known that it is better to take teenagers and

above to this place . Taking children needs advice from

education experts.

- Knowing the end of each

person since graveyard is the

place that all people will go at

last whether at young or old

ages.

- Knowing this end should

motivate muslim to work good

things since after this stage is

either heaven or fire.

Values:

- Performing (Janazah) Prayer has

great reword from Allah. The

prophet (Peace Be Upon Him)

said: “Whoever follows the

funeral procession and offers the

funeral prayer for it, will get a

reward equal to one Qirat, and

whoever attends it till burial, will

get a reward equal to two Qirat.''

It was asked, "What are two

Qirat?'' He (PBUH) replied, "Equal

to two huge mountains.''

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

Shopping Centers Shopping Centers are one of the most visited places for

different reasons like buying clothes, gifts and other

things.

The educator can present many positive values in these

places.

- Going to these places only if

needed and not like what we see

nowadays from young generation

who are going to these centers

for no purposes. Prophet (Peace

Be upon Him) said: “The most

hated place to Allah is shopping

centers” [Muslim]

- Nice dealing and talking with all

salesmen whether they were

Muslims or not. This will give

nice picture of a Muslim.

Values:

- Seeing what is illegal to look

at should be taken into

consideration while being in

shopping centers since they

are full of unwanted views.

- Advice can be done for any

unwanted situations seen,

but it should be done with

wisdom and nice dealing and

talking in order to get its

benefits.

Cooperative Societies

Cooperative Societies are like shopping centers, but they

are targeted usually for buying different kinds of foods

and drinks more than other things like clothes.

Values: - Planning while going to these

places in order to know

exactly what to buy and to

save time.

- Exceeding the limit of buying

unneeded things is not

recommended as Allah said:

“And eat and drink [freely], but

do not waste: verily, He does

not love the wasteful” (Al-A'raf

31).

- Thanking Allah when we buy

anything we want since there

are many people who can‟t

buy single thing.

- Knowing Islamic rules while

dealing with money while

buying since there are many

things which need Islam

opinion before taking

decision.

Fish Market Fish Market is one of the common places visited by

people. Although some cooperative societies offers

fishes, people like more to buy fishes from fish markets,

so we preferred to talk about it.

Values: - Thinking in Allah creatures and

their beauty. This is clearly shown

while seen all these kinds of

fishes will different colors and

sizes.

- People has different sense of

tastes and this clearly shown by

seeing them buying different kind

of fishes. Allah says: “And if your

Lord had pleased He would

certainly have made people a

single nation, and they shall

continue to differ” (Hood 118).

- Selling fish teaches the

salesmen dependence only on

Allah. The salesman should do

his best, depend only on Allah

then be sure that his provision

will come only to him.

- Knowing good fishes from

bad ones is an important skill

to be learnt.

Vegetables & Fruits Market Vegetable and Fruit markets are also available in some

cooperative societies, but there are some markets

dedicated for them, so we preferred to talk about them

also.

- Great power of Allah in

creating all these kinds of

fruits and vegetables. Allah

says: “(Such are) the works of

Allâh Who has made

everything perfect (in every

way)” (Al-Namil 88).

- Thanking Allah for these

varieties of fruits and

vegetables.

Market Values:

- Responsibility can be taught as

a nice value from these places.

Children or youngers can be

asked to buy, discuss with

salesmen and know good from

bad things.

- Remind and advise salesmen

for not cheating. The prophet

(Peace Be Upon Him) says: “who

cheats us is none of us.'„

[Muslim].

Market

Parks Parks are beautiful places which many families like to visit

especially when the weather is nice.

There are different types of parks. Some of them are small and

have green & sports areas and some games.

Some other parks are large and have many things which families

can benefit from.

Values:

- Thinking in beauty of nature

and some of its creatures

especially if the park contains

beautiful flowers and trees.

- Taking care of cleanness of

the park since we see many

parks full of wastes although

waste baskets are available

every where.

- Seeing what is illegal to look

consideration while being in

parks especially that parks

are open for all.

- Not harming anyone at park

especially workers and

cleaners.

Wilderness Trips Many people go to wilderness trips for different purposes especially

in nice weathers.

Some of them go for rest, some others for seeing beautiful things

and some others for riding bikes and cars above sands.

It is important to say that we are talking about trips which are not

containing any forbidden things which Allah don‟t like.

Values:

- People need change in their

life and these kinds of trips

will provide this change.

- Planning for these trips in

order to achieve their

benefits and also not to

forget any important things

required.

- Leadership is important for any

trip in order to organize things

and solve any problem occurs.

The prophet (Peace Be Upon

Him) says: “When three persons

set out on a journey, they should

appoint one of them as their

leader'„ [Abu Dawud].

- Performing prayers in their

proper timings without delays. It

is very important to remember

Allah in these places.

- Learning how to depend on

self through many things like

cooking, building tents,

collecting woods and so on.

- Cooperation with others

since without this cooperation,

the trip won‟t be succeeded.

Sea Trips Many people go with sea trips for different purposes.

Some of them for swimming, others for rest and so on.

Sea is considered as the greatest places which values

can be taught as wilderness trips.

Values:

- Sea is a great creature which

Allah created and we need to

think in it and what it contains

of creatures.

- Swimming is one of the

greatest sports which Islam

recommends to practice and

learn.

- There are many games which

can be played on the beach

and these games can provide

many values like cooperation,

planning and leadership.

- Taking care of cleanness of

the beach. Contribution in

cleaning beaches is a great

work and it should be

encouraged always.
