Placement Brochure PGP 2016-1802 03IIM Visakhapatnam
I extend a renewed and warm welcome to you as a potential recruiter of the second batch of the post-graduate program at IIMV. The first batch of IIMV has already created a pathway for this batch by being recruited by a diverse group of companies. They have created considerable goodwill among potential recruiters at IIMV for subsequent batches.
Like the first batch the second batch has also benefited from the direct mentorship and academic rigour of IIM Bangalore. The core courses of the PGP at IIMV are exactly the same as at IIMB and the second batch has also been taught by either current or retired faculty of IIMB, or those who have taught as adjunct faculty at IIMB. The IIMB faculty were as impressed by the quality of students in the second batch as they were in the first batch. Like in IIMB, the IIMV students also had a choice of three electives in term three of the first year. Plenty of good elective courses were offered in the second year without any registration caps and almost all major elective courses offered at IIMB were also offered at IIMV. The entire batch also visited either China or Dubai for a one week international immersion between the fourth and fifth terms and interacted with many major companies there as part of a course.
The second batch of IIMV also had its initial set of summer placement selections at the IIMB campus along with IIMB students. Like the first batch, regular IIMB recruiters selected about 60% of the IIMV students for summer internships and many of these students have also received pre-placement offers after their internship. Some recruiters have also selected summer interns exclusively from IIMV students at the IIMB campus. We look forward to help you meet your recruitment objectives by recruiting the high quality PGP students from IIM Visakhapatnam.

WhyIIM Visakhapatnam
IIM Visakhapatnam, one of the youngest and most promising IIMs, was established by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India in 2015 and has carved a place for itself in the elite league of B-schools in a very short span. The institute is mentored by IIM Bangalore and has garnered immense interest from industry stakeholders and academicians in a very short while due to its world-class academia, which has been adopted from IIM Bangalore and its quality of students. A unique proposition that sets IIM Visakhapatnam apart from the other institutes is that electives on subjects like Marketing, Finance, HR, Operations, Strategy, etc. are offered to the students right from the first year. The students have not only blended themselves to the academic needs of the profession but have also exhibited immense potential in other activities such as case study competitions, B-school events and other co-curricular activities. In its first year of operation, IIM Visakhapatnam was the first among all the new IIMs to complete its summer placement process. Some of the recruiters which showed faith in the institute were KPMG, EY, Directi, Amul, Xiaomi, Sutherland Global, Reliance, Dr. Reddy's, Furlenco, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh among many more which offered profiles ranging from product management to marketing to consulting and advisory. The strategic location of Visakhapatnam which is the financial capital of the State also renders a great advantage to the institute which is growing in leaps and bounds in the management and corporate arena.
