Our measure of success in placements continues to be how well we are matching student skills and aspirations with employer requirements and job roles.

We are pleased to share the results of our 6th placement session. Nearly 82% of the batch has been placed amongst renowned companies in India and abroad. The number of organizations approached for placements were 1200, which is 14.28% increase from the last year. Our students are successfully placed in the leading national, multinational and international organizations of which 40 are first-time recruiters like, Chuan Lim Constructions(Singapore), Welspun, The Executive Centre, Allied Builders (Seychelles/ Mauritius), HLK Infrastructure, Uniworks Designs, etc apart from other organizations who have been consistently hiring our students from the last 5 years.

2020 has been a very challenging year for all, and it was no different for the placements at RICS SBE. The COVID-19 created an environment of panic and uncertainty and thus had its repercussions. Despite the challenges faced due to the pandemic, and a surge of cases in the country, placement related activities continued in the virtual mode. When the market is facing a liquidity crunch and the organizations are now focusing on cost control, doing layoffs, closing their offices and trying to centralize their work and manpower, we at

RICS SBE have managed to get our students placed in reputed organizations with the best growth opportunities.

The domains that our students will work vary from quantity surveying to project management to strategy & consulting, research, transactions, sales, business development, etc. The locations where they will begin their careers include emerging markets like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore as well as developed markets like Dubai, UAE, Singapore and Seychelles.

INTERNSHIP HIGHLIGHTS

With COVID-19 impacting the internships as well, all onsite industry-based internships were converted into a research-based internship conducted by the students from their homes. This year our students also got an internship opportunity with a reputed government organization. A total of 39 students were given the opportunity to work under the Economic Research Unit, Joint Plant Committee, Ministry of Steel, GOI. The Joint Plant Committee is an autonomous body constituted by the Government of India under the aegis of the Ministry of Steel in 1964. After liberalization, the Joint Plant Committee emerged even more vital for facilitating the steel

industry grow from the world’s tenth-largest in 1991 to the world’s second-largest at present. Not only that, the research report completed by our students got published in the Journal of Steel Scenario which is a huge achievement. JPC will also circulate this E-book to its client, which will help for the growth of the students as well as their placements. This year, in wake of COVID-19 outbreak, the internship scheduled initially on 15th May to 10th July for Noida Campus students got rescheduled on 15th April to 14th Jun 2020. For Mumbai Campus, the initial dates of 30th May to 1st July got rescheduled to 11th May to 10th July 2020

JLL offered internship to 7 students for MBA REUI

Uniworks Designs offered internship to 5 candidates for MBA CPM

Government organizations like Economic Research Unit, Joint Plant Committee, Ministry of Steel, GOI offered internship to a total of 40 students (28 MBA CPM Mumbai and 12 MBA CPM Noida)
