Placing a Hold

NASHVILLE PUBLIC LIBRARY

If a book, movie, or CD you want is checked out or is not available at your library, you can place a hold on the item.

Type the title in the search box on the library website.

We’ll search for Star Trek. Click Go.

Scroll through the results list or click on the links to the left to further narrow your search to only DVDs.

When you see the title you are looking for, click Request it.

Type your library card number and PIN…

…and click Login.

Choose the library where you want to pick up the item.

Then click Submit.

The confirmation screen will tell you if your hold was placed successfully.

When your hold is ready to pick up, you’ll be notified by the library.When you’re done, you can return the item to any Nashville Public Library branch.
