GUN RUNNER TAKES HISPLACE AT THREE CHIMNEYS
by Andrew Caulfield
There was a time when any visit to Kentucky would not be
complete without a visit to Robert Clay=s Three Chimneys Farm.
Time the visit right and you might witness the unusual sight of
the stallions returning to the barn after their ridden exercise. I
remember well seeing the two-time champion Slew o'Gold
being hosed down afterwards, but it was always his sire Seattle
Slew who was the star of the show.
Subsequent years saw the likes of Rahy and Dynaformer added
to the team, with these two being particularly interesting to a
European visitor. However, the emphasis at Three Chimneys--
controlled by the Borges Torrealba family since November 2013--
is now firmly on dirt performers, with the aim being to produce
dirt stallions from the Three Chimneys mares.
As Goncalo Borges Torrealba told Ben Massam in an October
2016 TDN interview, Aeverything we do, at the end of the day,
goes toward filling up our stallion barn with the best quality
there can be...Our plan is definitely stallions, stallions and
stallions.@
The current roster stands at seven, now that Gun Runner has
ended his racing career in a blaze of glory in the GI Pegasus
World Cup Invitational. Significantly, six of the seven stallions
were Grade I winners on dirt, the exception being Fast Anna,
who missed that Grade I target by only a neck in the King=s
Bishop S.

GODOLPHIN SOPHOMORES HAVE WEEKEND
GRADED ASSIGNMENTS by Jessica Martini
A pair of Godolphin homebreds with 2-year-old graded stakes
wins on their resumes will kick off their sophomore seasons
Saturday, with GII Nashua S. winner Avery Island (Street Sense)
going postward in the GIII Withers S. at Aqueduct and
GII Kentucky Jockey Club S. winner Enticed (Medaglia d=Oro)
lining up for the GII Holy Bull S. at Gulfstream Park.
AAvery Island flies to New York Tuesday morning and he=ll run
Saturday in the Withers because he won the Nashua at
Aqueduct and he was second in the Remsen at Aqueduct, so we
think he is familiar with the track and we thought that was the
way to go,@ trainer Kiaran McLaughlin said Monday.
Stretched to 1 1/16 miles for his second career start, Avery
Island graduated by 5 1/4 lengths at Belmont Park last
September (video) before a commanding victory in the Nov. 5
GII Nashua S. at Aqueduct (video). (Click to continue to p6)

Gun Runner pulls away from West Coast | Horsephotos
Gun Runner Takes his Place at
Three Chimneys (cont. from p1)
Gun Runner is the highest-priced at $70,000,
and next in the
pecking order come
Will Take Charge, who lost the
2013 GI Breeders= Cup Classic so
narrowly, having earlier won the
GI Travers S., and Palace Malice,
the 2013 GI Belmont S. winner who
later demonstrated his versatility
with victory in the GI Metropolitan
H. over a mile. Will Take Charge is
priced at $30,000, with Palace
Malice at $20,000.
In the same interview, conducted
before Gun Runner had gained the
first of his six Grade I victories,
Massam asked AWhat do you see in Gun Runner that makes you
think he will be a successful stallion?@
Torrealba=s enthusiastic response was that, AAlthough we did
not breed him, we bought into him as a yearling and also
acquired the whole family when we did the partnership with
Besilu [Stables]. He=s already from the family of a very successful
stallion who was deceased prematurely, Saint Liam. And of
course, Candy Ride is a bloodline that is open to all the A.P. Indy,
Mr. Prospector and Northern Dancer lines. It=s a great cross for
every good American bloodline
there is. The physical is second to
none, the pedigree is great.... He=s
the whole package.... He=s a horse
we want to send our best mares
to.@
Torrealba's enthusiasm must now
be even greater following the
events of the last 15 months. Gun
Runner packed nine starts (and a
lot of travel) into those months and
his considerable talent and
consistency yielded seven victories
and two seconds, including his fine
effort behind Arrogate (Unbridled=s
Song) in the G1 Dubai World Cup.

Will Take Charge | A Coglianese
It is testament to the 5-year-old=s temperament that he was
able to parade for breeders at Three Chimneys in Kentucky just
a few days after he had made all to defeat Collected (City Zip),
West Coast (Flatter), War Story (Northern Afleet) and Arrogate
in the Breeders= Cup Classic at Del Mar in California.
That front-running Classic success represented Gun Runner=s
first victory over a mile and a quarter and there was never much
doubt that he possessed enough early speed to overcome his
wide draw when he dropped back a furlong in the Pegasus.
It is interesting that both Gun Runner and his fellow Three
Chimneys stallion Will Take Charge are both inbred to Fappiano,
a stallion whose impact on American dirt racing looks set to rise
and rise. Whereas Will Take Charge is inbred 3x4, via Unbridled
and Rubiano, Gun Runner is inbred 4x4, via Cryptoclearance and
Quiet American--the stallions who combined to complete the
1998 Triple Crown via their sons Victory Gallop and Real Quiet,
respectively.
Although I haven=t seen Gun Runner in the flesh, he appears to
be a very different physical type to the 17-hand Will Take
Charge. He is by the 15.3-hand Candy Ride, another individual
who showed that you don=t need to be big to shine on dirt. Like
Gun Runner, Candy Ride shone over Del Mar=s tight mile and a
quarter, covering the distance in 1:59.11 when he defeated
Medaglia d=Oro to take the 2003 GI Pacific Classic. It mustn=t be
forgotten that Candy Ride also won the GII American H. on turf,
as well as a pair of Argentine Group 1s contested over a mile on
turf. Candy Ride took both of those Argentine Group 1s by eight
lengths, so he was clearly capable of producing high-class form
both on dirt and turf.

Gun Runner=s broodmare sire Giant=s Causeway was also top
class on turf, before being narrowly beaten by Tiznow in the
Breeders= Cup Classic on dirt, so Gun Runner has every chance of
siring smart runners on all surfaces in the U.S. (though perhaps
not on turf in Europe, where Fappiano=s descendants have
traditionally struggled).
Candy Ride now has a dozen Grade I winners to his credit, with
pride of place belonging to Gun Runner and his fellow Eclipse
Award winner the late Shared Belief, who was the champion
2-year-old of 2013. Like Gun Runner, Shared Belief combined
speed with a valuable amount of stamina, proving the latter
with victories over a mile and a quarter in the GI Pacific Classic
and GI Santa Anita H. Shared Account had a dam by Storm Cat,
as do his fellow graded stakes winners Sidney=s Candy (GI),
Sweet Swap (GIII) and Tiger Ride (GIII). Candy Ride=s affinity for
Storm Cat blood is also evident in the Grade I successes of Evita
Argentina and Capt. Candyman who--like Gun Runner--have
dams by sons of Storm Cat. Storm Cat also sired the second dam
of Mastery, the Grade I-winning Candy Ride colt who looked so
promising when he won his first four starts, only to suffer a
career-ending injury soon after crossing the line in the 2017
GII San Felipe S. Mastery, like Gun Runner, will shortly be
covering his first mares, as he has joined the Claiborne team at a
fee of $25,000.
Both these new stallions come from first-rate female lines
which have previously produced successful stallions. Gun
Runner=s dam, the Grade II winner Quiet Giant, is a half-sister to
Saint Liam, the 2005 Horse of the Year who also won the
Breeders= Cup Classic. Tragically, Saint Liam fractured a hind leg
not long after he had completed his first season at Lane=s End
Farm. Saint Liam=s legacy amounted to fewer than 100 foals, but
four of them became graded winners and another three were
graded placed.
Remarkably, one of them--the filly Havre de Grace--emulated
her sire=s Horse of the Year achievement before being sold for
$10 million.
Of course, Gun Runner also recently landed the Horse of the
Year title and he too comes from a family which is no stranger to
huge prices in the sales ring. His dam, the GII Molly Pitcher S.
winner Quiet Giant, cost Besilu Stables $3 million when she
appeared as part of the Ned Evans dispersal in 2011.
Gun Runner=s second dam Quiet Dance was also represented
at the 2011 sale by her stakes-winning A.P. Indy filly Dance
Quietly (who sold for $2 million), her Medaglia d'Oro weanling
filly ($2.6 million) and her winning Tiznow filly Quiet Now ($1.85
million). That=s a total of $9,450,000 for four daughters, three of
which were acquired by Ben Leon=s Besilu operation.
The weanling, later named Miss Besilu, proved her worth with
Grade I thirds in the CCA Oaks and the Alabama S. Quiet Now
has also added to the family fortunes, as her War Front filly Lull
numbers the GIII Autumn Miss S. among her black-type
victories. One of Quiet Giant=s older half-sisters, the Honour and
Glory mare Beatem Buster, also made her mark by producing
the GI Mother Goose S. winner Buster=s Ready.
Quiet Dance=s daughters look well placed to add more smart
winners to the family=s long list. Quiet Giant has a late-foaled
2-year-old filly by Tapit, plus a late-foaled 2017 brother to Gun
Runner. Miss Besilu also has a 2-year-old by Tapit and a yearling
colt by Candy Ride, while Dance Quietly has a 2-year-old and a
yearling by Medaglia d=Oro.

AEnticed is doing very well,@ McLaughlin said. AHe worked
Friday and the track was a little bit slower when he worked. He
worked in :49 and a couple, but he worked well and is doing
well. We=ll see how it goes Saturday in Florida.@
Enticed is the first foal to race out of Godolphin=s multiple
Grade I winner It=s Tricky (Mineshaft). Now 10, the mare won
the 2011 GI Acorn S. and GI Coaching Club American Oaks, as
well as the 2012 GI Ogden Phipps H., for McLaughlin.
Asked if he sees similarities between mother and son,
McLaughlin laughed, ANo. Luckily not, because she was properly
named--It=s Tricky. She was tricky and was known to misbehave
from time to time. He is a classy, classy colt that does everything
right. But we see some similarities in their abilities because she
was one of the best fillies that I ever trained. It=s nice to have a
Medaglia d=Oro out of her that is so classy and does everything
right and is talented.@
McLaughlin is ready to get the 2018 Triple Crown trail started.
AThis is what we hope for every year,@ McLaughlin said. AWe=re
just keeping our fingers crossed. It=s still quite a ways away from
the first Saturday in May, but we are happy to have two of them
heading that way and running this Saturday in important prep
races.@ (Click to return to p1)

MARYLAND TRIES AGAIN TO ENACT LAW TO
HIRE EQUINE MEDICAL DIRECTORby T.D. Thornton
For the second consecutive January, a bill has been filed in the
Maryland House of Delegates to empower the Maryland Racing
Commission (MRC) to hire an equine medical director.
If the measure passes, it would bring Maryland in line with
Kentucky and New York, the other two states that host Triple
Crown races, plus a number of other state racing jurisdictions
that employ an equine medical director as a commission staffer.
But with the exception of a changed effective date to July 1,
2018, the language of House Bill 421 is identical to the version of
the bill that was withdrawn Feb. 16, 2017, after having received
an unfavorable report by the Ways and Means Committee.
The Maryland Department of Legislative Services (DLS) has
been advocating for this hire since at least 2013, when it
authored a report that said AMRC could benefit from an Equine
Medical Director to ensure compliance with the recently
adopted stringent equine testing and drug policies. An Equine
Medical Director would provide MRC with an additional
resource to further enhance the safety and welfare of the
horses running races in Maryland.@
The proposed bill, which was introduced Jan. 24 by the same
two delegates that filed the 2017 version, would rewrite a
section of business regulation code to include Aequine medical
director@ within an existing list of the types of positions the
commission is authorized to hire.
Like last year=s attempt, the bill stipulates that Thoroughbred
track licensees, horsemen=s groups, and breeding organizations
would be responsible for paying 80% of the costs associated
with employing an equine medical director, while the same set
of entities representing Standardbred interests would pay the
remaining 20%.
PROMISING DEBUT FOR EPICALby Jessica Martini
Epical (Uncle Mo) brought the curtain down on a
record-setting weekend of racing with a gritty debut victory in
the final race of the day at Santa Anita Sunday. Going a mile on
the turf, the bay ridgling battled favored Concur (Curlin) on the
front end and put that foe away in deep stretch before bravely
holding off the late charge of Fibonacci (Artie Schiller) to win by
a neck.
The performance was no surprise to trainer Jim Cassidy.
AMy expectations were high,@ Cassidy said Monday. AThat=s
why I ran him at a mile the first time. We knew he wanted to
route and I thought he=d like the grass. I=m not going to say I was
cocky enough to say he would win, but I thought he would run
really well.@ Cont. p2

Cassidy continued, AI told the jock, >Listen this is a pretty nice
horse, so wherever he breaks, don=t mess with him. Just let him
do his thing.= And that=s pretty much what happened. But I=ll tell
you what, that was as game an effort as I=ve seen for a long time
from a horse.@
Epical RNA=d for $145,000 at last year=s Fasig-Tipton Midlantic
2-Year-Olds in Training Sale before being acquired privately by
Deron Pearson=s D.P. Racing.
AHe was a ridgling, so the one [testicle] that was up in his belly,
we took it out,@ Cassidy said of Epical=s late debut. AHe didn=t get
over it quite as quickly as I had hoped. That was what took me
so long to get him ready.@
The bay trained forwardly towards Sunday=s debut, including a
five-furlong work in :59 4/5 (2/39) Jan. 21.
AHe was pretty straightforward most of the time and always
happy to do whatever he did,@ Cassidy said. AI=d worked him in
company. I worked him with a couple of nice horses and he held
his own.@
As for what is next, Cassidy said, AI just want to make sure he=s
ok for the next few days. He looked pretty tired this morning.@
While Epical=s next start is still to be determined, Cassidy
expects it will be on the turf.
AThe Uncle Mos seem to like the turf better than they do the
dirt,@ Cassidy said. ARight now, he=ll stay on the turf.@

BRADLEY WEISBORD JOINS WHOA Bradley Weisbord, founder of BSW Bloodstock and Elite Sales,
has announced he has joined the Water Hay Oats Alliance, a
grassroots organization formed to support federal legislation to
prohibit the use of performance-enhancing drugs in the sport of
horse racing.
The following is Weisbord=s statement in support of the
alliance:
BSW Bloodstock manages hundreds of horses for some of the
top owners on an international basis, as well as across the
country. BSW has run horses at 90% of the tracks in America and
has dealt with almost every racing jurisdiction, all of which have
their own rules and regulations on racing medication.
It is absurd.
Moreover, as someone who is very involved in the European
market and bringing horses to America from overseas, it is
evident that race-day medication is a hindrance to the breed.
It is my opinion that for racing to move forward, the entire
United States should be governed under one uniform medication
policy and that performance drugs should be abolished.
It is time for industry members to start thinking about the
future of horse racing on the whole. This is why I support WHOA.

TWO SEVEN-FIGURE LOTSANCHOR KARAKA DAY 2
by Heather Anderson
Day two of the NZB Karaka Yearling Sale Book 1 followed on
from Sunday=s opener as momentum continued to build during
the second day of trade. Two lots made seven figures by the
close of the session on Monday, a colt by Waikato Stud=s
Savabeel (Aus) went to David Ellis of Te Akau Racing for
NZ$1,025,000 (US$750,318/A$926,923/£533,177/€605,899
/¥81,740,940) and earlier in the day, a colt by Coolmore shuttler
Fastnet Rock (Aus) brought an even NZ$1 million on the bid of
Mark Pilkington Management/Lindsay Park Racing.
From a statistical perspective, 232 lots have grossed
NZ$38,307,500 from a catalogue of 320. The average is
NZ$165,119, while the median is NZ$120,000. The clearance
rate is an encouraging 77%, as local and international buyers
continue to make their presence felt during the reformatted
sale.
Topping the session, and the entire sale so far, was a
Cambridge Stud-consigned Savabeel colt (lot 301) out of New
Zealand champion 3-year-old Katie Lee (Aus) (Pins {Aus}). A two-
time Classic winner, Katie Lee is out of Group 3 winner Miss
Jessie Jay (NZ) (Spectacularphantom), herself a half-sister to
New Zealand champion sprinter/miler Gee I Jane (NZ) (Jahafil
{GB}).

BOWMAN SET TO APPEAL SUSPENSIONS Jockey Hugh Bowman, the regular pilot of superstar mareWinx (Aus) (Street Cry {Ire}), is set to appeal both careless ridingsuspensions he incurred on the weekend, racing.com reported.Bowman formally lodged an appeal with Racing NSW stewardson Monday and is going to do the same with New Zealandofficials on Tuesday in an effort to be aboard the Chris Wallertrainee when she resumes in the Feb. 17 G2 Apollo S. Bowman currently needs his suspensions reduced by five days.He earned the first infraction from his winning ride aboardTswalu (Aus) (Northern Meteor {Aus}) at Warwick Farm lastFriday, which would suspend him from Feb. 4-15. Those dateswere altered however, following his ride aboard Five ToMidnight (NZ) (Domesday {Aus}) at Ellerslie on Saturday and heis now slated to be suspended from Jan. 29-Feb. 10 for theWarwick Farm suspension. Bowman=s New Zealand suspensionwould then begin on Feb. 10- 21.

Te Akau supremo David Ellis | Derryl Sherer
NZB Karaka Book 1 Day 2 Cont. from p1
AHe=s just one of those
colts I had to have--he=s a
beautiful example of
equine excellence,@ said
Ellis, who is well on his way
to being the sale=s leading
buyer by gross for the 13th
consecutive year. AI can see
him winning a Group 1 like
the Sires Produce and then
heading to Australia to win
a good 2-year-old race, but
our goal will be the 2000
Guineas at Riccarton.@
Ellis is currently leading the buyers= table, with 17 lots having
caught his eye to the tune of NZ$4,595,000. Another Savabeel
offering from Cambridge Stud--this time a filly (lot 290)--joined
the Te Akau fold for NZ$900,000, the most expensive filly of the
sale and the third highest lot of the day. Out of the winning Joy=s
Choice (NZ) (Redoute=s Choice {Aus}), who was third in a Group
2, the filly is the second foal of her dam. Joy=s Choice is a half-
sister to MGSW and G1 New Zealand 1000 Guineas bridesmaid
La Sizeranne (NZ) (Stravinsky), while G1 Australian Derby hero
Tavago (NZ) (Tavistock
{NZ}) also sits under the
second dam, the GSP Tricia
Ann (NZ) (Zabeel {NZ}).
Among the other
purchases bought to bear
the tangerine and blue and
the third in the top 10 lots
on Tuesday, was a Haunui
Farm-consigned Snitzel
(Aus) colt (lot 215). Ellis
shelled out NZ$625,000 for
the son of the Arrowfield-
based champion sire out of
MGSW Floria (NZ)
(Savabeel {Aus}). The August-foaled bay is the first foal of his
dam, whose biggest day in the sun was a third in the
G1 Tattersalls Tiara. Cont. p3

AHe had the right pedigree, the right physique, and so all the
credentials to be a good horse,@ said Pilkington. AHe certainly
had the price tag, so hopefully he is a good horse. It made good
sense, as the colt is out of a gun mare. He=s in keeping with the
same sort of horse as Merchant Navy (Aus) (Fastnet Rock {Aus}).
We recently negotiated the sale of him [the G1 Coolmore Stud S.
victor] to Coolmore for A$27 million, so it would be nice if this
colt was going well enough to head down the same path. The
Lindsay Park guys [co-trainers David Hayes, his son Ben and
nephew Tom Dabernig] have had a lot of luck here. They got
[GSW & G1SP] Tulip (Aus) (Pierro {Aus}), who has been a great
filly, then [undefeated listed winner] Long Leaf (Aus) (Fastnet
Rock {Aus}), who won the other day.@
The pedigree continues to improve, as Diademe=s full-brother
Embellish (NZ) (Savabeel {Aus}), a NZ$775,000 Karaka Premier
graduate of 2016 who races for Te Akau Racing, captured the G1
New Zealand 2000 Guineas earlier this season and narrowly ran
second in the Listed Karaka 3YO Classic on Saturday at Ellerslie.
Embellish is bound for stud duty at Cambridge Stud when he retires.
Added Pilkington of the redesigned sale format, AI think the
new concept has worked well, Everybody gets a chance to look
at the horses and make up their own mind.@
Tavistock popularity continues...
Sir Patrick and Lady Justine Hogan=s Cambridge Stud offered
three of the top four lots on Tuesday, with a bay filly by their
resident sire Tavistock (NZ) out of Listed Lightning H. victress
Diamond Like (Aus) (Danehill) attracting the attention of Peter
Moody. The trainer of Black Caviar (Aus) (Bel Esprit {Aus})
stretched to NZ$750,000 to acquire lot 159.
AShe=s a lovely filly from a family that speaks for itself,@ said
Moody. AShe=s one of those magical fillies that has a page to
match. We=re looking to put a few nice fillies together, my wife
and a few clients, that we can race back in Australia. She will
stay here and get broken-in--like we traditionally do with our
New Zealand fillies--we=ve always had good success doing it.
Then she=ll head to Australia come October or November.@
Already the dam of GSW & MG1SP Forever Loved (NZ) (High
Chaparral {Ire}), Group 3 winner Zephyron (NZ) (Zabeel {NZ}),
G1SP Zenella (NZ) (Zabeel {NZ}) and SP Ardeche (NZ) (Dehere),
this was Diamond Like=s eighth foal. Her dam is high-class
MG1SW Tristalove (NZ) (Sir Tristram {Ire}), who also left G1SW
Viking Ruler (Aus) (Danehill) and GSW & MG1SP Kempinsky
(Aus) (Danehill).

NZB Karaka Book 1 Day 2 Cont.
During Sunday=s opening session, a pair of Cambridge-
consigned Tavistock foals were popular from this family: a filly
(lot 10) out of Zenella brought NZ$420,000 on the bid of Bruce
Perry Bloodstock, while lot 35, a colt, went to Dean Hawthorne
Bloodstock for NZ$300,000.
Nicoll looking for more Fastnet success... Only 15 lots removed from Moody=s purchase, Adrian Nicoll,
who had selected the aforementioned Long Leaf (Aus) (Fastnet
Rock {Aus}) at last year=s Premier Sale for NZ$750,000, was the
winning bidder at NZ$725,000 for lot 172, a filly by the same sire
and offered by Hallmark Stud. Out of the unraced Dragon=s Tail
(Aus) (Galileo {Ire}), she is a full-sister to Te Akau=s 2018 G1
Levin Classic victor and G1 New Zealand 2000 Guineas runner-
up Age of Fire (Aus) (Fastnet Rock {NZ}.
AShe=s a beautiful filly--the best individual I saw here,@ said
Nicoll of BBA Ireland, who was acting for an international
syndicate. AI thought she might go for more than $600,000 and
less than $800,000, so I was happy to go to $725,000 for her.
Being a full-sister to a Group 1 winner, it just became a no-
brainer. She=ll be going to Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott.
We=ve put a partnership together, which includes the Niarchos
family. It=s a similar group to the one we put together for a
Frankel (GB) colt we bought a couple of years ago.@
Mulcaster busy on Tuesday...
Karaka=s Tuesday session did not take long to heat up, as
bloodstock agent Guy Mulcaster, acting for Kaha Syndicate and
Mulcaster Bloodstock, struck for a striking bay son of Savabeel
(NZ) (lot 108) just seven lots in. Offered by Waikato Stud, who
stand the New Zealand champion sire, the September foal is the
seventh from his unraced dam Chilled Out (NZ) (Anabaa). She
is out of the listed winner Icy Calm (NZ) (Western Symphony),
who also produced Listed Red Roses S. heroine and MG1SP The
Big Chill (NZ) (O=Reilly {NZ}) and the winning Forty Two Below
(NZ) (O=Reilly {NZ}). The last named is responsible for three-time
group heroine Coldplay (NZ) (Savabeel {Aus}).
AWe have a sister to this colt [Randwick scorer Savacool (NZ), a
NZ$220,000 2016 NZBPRE purchase] and she has won her last
two starts in Sydney, which has been very promising,@ said
Mulcaster, who has selected Horse of the Year and three-time
G1 Cox Plate heroine Winx (Aus) (Street Cry {Ire}) among others.
AWe thought he was a lovely colt which is what we came to try
and buy. We are very happy with the horses we have bought
from Waikato before. We will leave him here for about eight
months and let him go through the system before he heads up
to Melbourne for a small preparation. He will then go to the
Sydney stable.@
Mulcaster was back in action for the very next lot, spending
NZ$220,000 for a son of Ocean Park (NZ) (lot 109) from the
Waikato Stud consignment. Out of Chorus (NZ) (Danasinga
{Aus}), the foal is a half to three winners, among them the listed-
placed Tralee Chorus (NZ) (O=Reilly {NZ}).
He also outlaid NZ$300,000 for a bay filly (lot 285) by Savabeel
(Aus) out of Jacilo (NZ) (Entrepreneur {GB}), a Waikato consignee
and half-sister to G1SW Miss Keepsake (NZ) (Keeper {Aus}); and
NZ$100,000 for a son (lot 186) of Charm Spirit (Ire)--Enjuja (Aus)
offered by Westbury Stud. The Charm Spirit colt is out of a half-
sister to MGSW Cajarian (Sharastani) and the dam of G1 Nunthorpe
S. heroine Margot Did (Ire) (Exceed And Excel {Aus}). Cont. p6

Mulcaster reflected, AWe had Scream Park (NZ) (Ocean Park
{NZ}) run in the Karaka Millions 3YO Classic on Saturday and he
ran an acceptable race [10th]. He probably felt the ground a
little bit. For the owners to come and have an enjoyable time,
they really loved it. We will be looking to bring another horse
again next year. We have some Ocean Parks and we=re happy
with them--it makes sense to keep sticking to what you know.@
