I am a White.When I was much younger, I worenothing but pink tutus. I watchedGrandmas Te Nutcracker anddanced around in the living room.

I watched my mother dance and Iwanted to be just like her. Tis wasmy rst dream.

I wanted a pair o slippers so badly.I dont know whether it was mymother trying to make me better ortrying to stall some time be ore I gotthem; but she told me that i I wantedslippers, I had to earn them. I dont even remember how oldI was at the time; but I rememberdoing menial tasks, chores to earnquarters. All I could see was thatpink satin. I would do anything to getthem.

Years have passed since then, andeven though Ive traded that tutu or aew different hats now, Ive neverorgotten the lesson that it taught me; You can achieve your dreams,but dreams take work.

I watched as my parents saved andsaved to make sure we were alwaysnacially secure. Ive seen the exampleso my grandparents, who both havedegrees and still sacrice and give somuch so that their amily is happy.Tey live out their dreams, andcontinue to work towards them.

I intend to be a White, and do justthat- work or my dreams.

I hope that through this presentationI will gain your endorsement; not onlynacially, but also in my uture. I amnot looking or handouts. I entirelyplan on earning your investment, and Ihope this presentation will gain that.

Its all about experience.

I have learned one o the motdistinct things about my eld. Inmy classes we do not take as manyexams as most; our grueling hoursare spent in dark rooms, creating.When I am reviewed or employ-ment, they do not look at my tran-scripts. Instead, the rst thing theylook at is what Ive done. Just likehow Ive created this book speci -ically to persuade you to considermy uture, my potential employerslook at my per ectly- sculpted por-olios to see i I make the cut.

How did I gain this?Sacrifice.

Un ortunetly, they look at thou-sands o others as well. What Ihave going or me, at this moment,is the experience I have gainedhere at Brigham Young University.Tis sets me apart and distin-guishes me rom those resh acedand on the market; I know whatIm doing and where Im going.

I have worked multiple jobs at atime to gain it. I have partnered inseveral projects in order to under-stand my eld. I have sacrcedhundreds o hours o lunches, sleepand more to be the best. I you askabout my social li e, you can ask myteam how much time I spend with-out a computer in ront o me.

Ive learned that most o my educa-tion here does not take place staringat a chalk board; it is through dedi-cated hours spent ailing andsucceeding at what I love to do:create.

I workcommercialLets talk money rst; I already make moneywith the skills I have aquired here at school.I actually work two jobs or Brigham YoungUniversity, Idaho itsel .

I work at the Writing Center, tutoringstudents.

However, Im also specialized: I washired on to create educational videos. Iuse Adobe Premire Pro, Quicktime, andAfer Effects to create quality videos thatare not only seen in classrooms, but alsointernationally. Students who are onlineas well as those whose english is theirsecond language watch the videos I havecreated and produced.

I actually stayed the entire summer inIdaho in order to complete videos.

I also design iers or the Writing Cen-ter, as well as handouts. I create contentor their acebook page, advertize orthem, and plan events to promote them.Te greatest accomplishment I had? Idesigned two seperate books o compiledworks to showcase the writing talent.

Each o these took well over a hundredhours to produce. I met my deadlinesand my clients were pleased.

I spend several hours on campus atnight creating the videos and presen-tations, staying late in order to accom-plish the goals presented in ront o me.I enjoy working there and plan on con-tinuing it in the upcoming semesters.

However, I do this all or ree. I sacra-

ced a lot o my time to produce this,but I am so grate ul or the oppurtuni-ties it has given me- including severalinternship offers and the ability tonetwork with international companiesand clients. I plan on becoming a paiddirector this next semester, once theyreturn back to me.

Soapbox is an advertising agency,

where teams come together tocreate high quality projects or clients.Its incredible that such a condensedgroup o people can create so much. Ihave developed so many skills in thisprogram. Tis is where I have recievedthe most growth.

I write.For me, the story is everything. Youould say scripts are my Sistine

Chapel when it comes toproducing work. Tis isnt just in

my lms though. I love writing orocial media, or even a review abouthe newest book Ive picked up. Iove creating stories, and taking thehoughts in my mind and puttinghem on paper, and then makinghem into something tangible.

write stories with what I call askinny-punch. Tey give you a taste a beauti ul world, capture the heart

nd soul, and leave you with some-hing to remember. Every tale I tellas meaning behind it. I dont write to

write, I write to teach. I write to makehe world just a little bit better than

when I woke up.

I capturecandids

e best stories are the ones you dontake up. People are my avorite. I dontke the polished, ribbons & bows shotsost see, but instead I hunt or thendids. Its these simple quirks that Irive to capture. Quirks are the soulwho we, as human beings are, and Ive capturing that. Ive caught the crya sweetheart when she got called toe same place as her best riend, the

education week program at BYU-Idaho,and a resh look at Bridge Jumping. I lovecapturing people in the candid moments,in who they are.
