1. SHMsave the world 2. For my project I am creating a promotion package for the release of an musicalbum, to include a music promo video, together with the following options: a website homepage for the band; a magazine advertisement for the digipak. The films location will be set in a school environment. Short synopsis- A older teenager is thinking about his life and where and whathe wants to do with it, he feels trapped however the music will help him oncehe relies hes got the world at his feet and the songs are heart pounding hestarts to dance a relies everythings going to be okay! My main influences are Swedish House Mafia there selves, Bingo players,Afrojack and Calvin Harris. The main slogan for the video will be save the world 3. For my video I have found out that I should be targeting older teens and youngadults as they are the prime age for the clubbing scene, as the age in the UK tolegally go out is 18 and in parts of the US 21 so the category is set older.Recently house music has been taken by popular demand in the charts which hasmade this type of music more stereo typical which makes it hard for me to showyou a target audience as before there was a small minority of people that enjoyedhouse/dance/tech music now it has become commercial meaning younger peopleare beginning to listen. Men and women will both be part of my target audience because there is nogender differences in music, for example this year I visited Creamfields UKs biggesthouse music festival. I noticed no major difference in gender where was just asmany girls as boys also the most popular age would range from 17-25 as therewasnt any much younger and only a few amount of elder people. 4. After researching my target audience I have found out the specific audience I will need to usefor not only to create my questionnaire but use the right people to fill it out to gain the bestresults.Firstly the gender will not matter because everyone listens to music and with research I havefound that there is no large difference in men or women listeners when it comes to music forexample we found Slightly more than 8 percent of women watched or listened to music onlinewhich isnt a big difference source: http://blog.nielsen.com/nielsenwire/consumer/women-more-ravenous-for-music-sites . I Found the age most people go out and listen to fast and powerful music would be late teensearly 20s so I am going to ask people from the age of 17 up to 27, this will give me the earliergeneration and also the later for a wider perspective. In the age bracket the marital status ismost likely to be single or in a causal relationship for the younger teens and maybe engaged ormarried at the end of the 20s. I handed out 20 questionnaires so there wasnt any problems ifsome arent filled in correct or lost but will also give me adequate information to then createsome tables and graphs. 5. Here are just a few examples of the results I achieved from my questionnaire, it hashelped me make choices when creating my video for example:-I have used a eighteen year old actor as the majority of my audience are aged 18 and19.-I have based my album promo around Swedish House Mafia as they was the mostpopular house music artists.- Also I have used my location in a school as over 50% of peoples working status was insome form of education. 6. Here is my story board, I chose to draw it on paper to try and explain my thoughts andideas better rather than using a computer. I felt it was easier and I just scanned thepictures over so I could produce them online. Here is a storyboard of a shorter version of the promo, as I found out most big promo music videos have a long a short version as the smaller the time advertising on T.V and Radio is cheaper. 7. Here are my location scouts, as I am using only two different roomsmy scouts are quite simple, the square crossed boxes represent thecamera and where it will be filming and the circle crossed boxesrepresent the actor (Kevin) and where he will be standing within thescene.My location scouts have been drawn on paper and they are on thetable to look at 8. Name of the film: SHM Save The WorldLength of trailer: 1 minute 30 seconds - 2 minutes.Length of short version trailer: 30 secondsLocations for the film trailer: bedroom/classroom and a HallwayNumber of characters featuring in the film trailer: OneAge/gender of the characters: 17-18 maleFilm trailer plot outline:There is a Countdown to build up excitement of audience that the new album is out, shows a young boy playing with aglobe representing thoughts of how hes life is planning out and what hes going to do about it, with music building upwhilst counting down it will mix to a slow song as he stands with the globe, it will then drop again into an up-beat song ashe picks up the globe and throws it. Then the globe dropping will cut loads showing the drop over and over as the beatrepeats, he will then exit the room and out into the hall where he will release all his emotions and spin, the spin will thenbe slow-monition for effect and he will then carry on dancing zooming into a close-up of his feet not moving, then anotherof his eyes closed as the video then goes into rewind and shows the globe coming off the floor and back into his hands andsitting down again. Showing the audience what music can do for you, especially their new album as it will make you feelon top of the world and want to dance around with happiness! It will then finish by showing all important informationabout the release dates and price ect with voiceover of fans talking about the album. 9. Globe Table Chair Door Door handle Lockers Bin Trainers (actor) DSLR HD cameraRisk assessment:In my film there is no real risk involved however using very expensive equipmentanyone on set or helping will be shown how to correctly use the camera and to besensible at all times. 10. There will only be one real cost for my project as its set in the school whichsupplies me with a table, chairs and a door. The camera is also supplied alongwith the other filming equipment so I will only need to purchase the one prop Iam using which is a globe, after researching the item I found I could purchase itonline through Amazon at a charge of 4.75. 11. To find an appropriateactor for my video I haveplaced a poster in the 6thform block to find anyonewho would be interested.The reason I have placed itonly in the 6th from blockis because my targetaudience is older teens, itwould be inappropriate touse a younger actor. 12. Kevin Lopez also know as K-fevahis a student at Turnford school 6thform, he works as Morrisonspart-time. He is part French partEnglish, he loves to preform asmany people may have seen himat turnfords got talent, he hasalso just auditioned for Britainsgot talent. Hes idol is TinieTempah. When I put up a posterin 6th form asking for an actor heapproached me and I decided totake him on. 13. I have created a perfect questionnaire to find the most appropriate audience for myvideo so this sort of production is going to be a success. As House music has risen in the charts over the year more and more people are goingto be watching and listening to this sort of music, and with a good storyline thateveryone can relate to, it will be popular. Using catchy, heart pounding music will also attract listeners as good music is alwaysnoticed. Also I require very little expense to set-up and run the video which is an advantage. I believe with all the research I have learnt what it takes to make a good music albumpromo and with all the planning I have created I will be able to fulfil this smoothlywithout any major problems.
