Its noon, you’ve had the busiest day, you’re starving… You decide to go to the cafeteria for something to eat and you

have 40 mins until your next class

BUT it takes you:+ 5 minutes to get there+ 5 minutes making line+ 3 minutes ordering and paying for your chilaquiles.+ 10-15 minutes to get your food!

Its 12:28 and you have 12 minutes to eat and walk back to your next class.

So... You end up either eating only 2 spoonfuls of food and leaving it, or cancelling your order and going to your class really hungry

Description

Skip Lines is not only a food ordering app, it is also a healthy app with which you can track down your eating habits.

We are hoping to reduce the level of child and adult obesity, since Mexico is the 1st place in child obesity. And also, to reduce the time of waiting for your meal during your free period.

What do we have, that others don’t

When you click on each meal you can see its nutritional value before you add it to your cart.

On your profile, you will see a “Good Plate” Image with the ideal proportions of what we should eat, and next to it, a “Good Plate” image of what are your REAL proportions. This will help you realize that maybe you should eat more protein!!

Skip Lines will initially be used by students and faculty from high school and college.

Once it takes off in this market, we will spread and reach out to bigger companies and restaurants.

For example, wouldn’t it be nice if you just went to a Starbucks, ordered from your phone and wait untill they call your name so you just pick up your coffee?

Costs

We would hire a developer and a graphic designer to help us improve our user interface, we want to make more usability tests and make sure the look and feel of this app is eye catching.

After consulting with a couple of companies, we have concluded this proyect would take about 50 hours of development which would end up in a total of $2,000.00 and the design costs would be of $800.00
