What will the audience see and

hear?

Slow montage – similar to the Breakfast Club showing the scene and giving away aspects of the rest of the film enticing the audience to want to watch more.

Continuity sequence – We want to have this after a slow montage to show this film is real life and to make it more realistic and relatable to every day teenagers.

Audience will see the setting (college). We will use both diegetic and non diegetic. We will use more non diegetic as we want to audience to have a clear opinion on the film and to know what is going on. We will also not want to confuse the audience.

Films that have influenced us

Breakfast Club – It influenced our film idea a lot. We were influenced by the narrator (voice over),setting and theme of the film. This film also sends a good message across the young adults that we wanted to portray.

Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging – This film shows the British element we want to portray in our film through the school setting and the overall environment. This film also influenced the culture, and characters we want in our film

Other films that influenced us are Juno, Submarine, Mean Girls etc. These films influenced us as they all show relationships between characters and give the overall teen drama feel.
