VISION

Scimitar is building a new seamless communication and information system for the trucking industry to make it more efficient, but also more elastic. Fleets will be able to use external resources at will, as well as capitalize on their own unused resources.

MARKET IS MANDATED

• Starting Q4 2015, 4.2 million trucks will be required to begin using systems like Scimitar

• 3 million of these trucks do not have compliant systems yet

• Fleets have avoided existing solutions because no product actually helps their business. The industry accepted “sweet spot” where telematics products start helping is 150 trucks.

• Nearly 90% of fleets have under 50 trucks, about 2.8 million trucks overall.

the driver at will, while messaging and document exchange are near instantaneous. Real-time collaboration technology is baked into everything in order to facilitate customer service, training,

and job hand-off.

MARKETING• Sprint has offered to feature our product in their solutions catalog

• We have designed a special demonstration in-cab computer that can be installed in 60 seconds. We will send them out to fleets so they can “try before they buy”.

• Favorable exposure in industry periodicals will cost us about 70k per year. This will get us interviews and full page ads.

• We will buy a fancy semi-truck and send our lead forward tester to haul for companies in order to engage them in demonstrations. Then we will do short interviews talking about the fancy truck and the marketing strategy in order to reach C-level executives. This will cost about 200k initially, then about 40k per year in expenses.

• Our state mileage tax accounting package will be offered for free to everyone.
