Durapipe PLX fuels luxuryyachts in Costa Rica

Marina Papagayo is a customdesigned ultra-wide floating dockable to accommodate up to 180luxury watercraft in Costa Rica.

Durapipe PLX was used to transferthe fuel from the main storage tanksat high level, along the wall of themarina and down to the fillingstation pontoon on the marina. PLXclose fit secondary containmentsystem in size 50#63mm, PLX`pipe-in-pipe' system in size 90#160and a full range of PLX electrofusionfittings, couplers, tees and elbowswas used for this application.

Sugar Wharf HMASCAIRNS in Queensland

Over 1,500 metres of 110mmand 160mm secondary containedDurapipe PLX pipework andfittings has been installed as partof a major redevelopment of thenaval base HMAS Cairns inQueensland, Australia. As part ofthe redevelopment, the fuel linesneeded updating to meet thehigher standards demanded bythe new facility.

Quingdao InternationalSailing Centre.

More than 2000 metres of PLX wasinstalled as part of the constructionof the Olympic QuingdaoInternational Sailing centre in 2008.PLX was installed in the newly builtservice station used to re-fuel thesailing boats competing in theOlympic games. PLX SecondaryContained pipework was installedunderground starting at the servicestation for cars and finishing at theharbour wall for boats.
