FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Pioneer Digital DJ Battle 2015: The Battle is back. One night. One shot at glory. Once again, the Pioneer Digital DJ Battle is back to set hearts pumping and adrenaline rushing. This year, as the Battle enters its 13th year, it promises to uncover a greater pool of talents and explore even more exceptional skills and performances. All this and more is set to happen at the new Zouk Kuala Lumpur on 17 December 2015. The history of this incredible Battle dates back to 2003, when a group of passionate, audio-savvy Pioneer ProDJ executives had their eyes and mind on developing high quality talents from the world of deejaying. Over the years, the Battle grew and bloomed, making it one of the most prominent and sought-after platforms for those intending to take their DJ career to a whole new level.

As always, the response from participants was quickly overwhelming. Fellow judges had to go through each quality entry carefully, and handpick the top 18 semi-finalists. From there on, only the top 5 finalists would be eligible to enter the Grand Finale whereby they would be allocated 20 minutes to showcase their best based on song selections, mixing & scratching skills, techniques, audience response and overall performance. Returning to the Battle will be last year’s winner Kyori, who is seeking to successfully defend his title again.

This year, the panel of judges reads like a list of who’s who in the Electronic Dance Music (EDM) scene – firstly, there's DJ Goldfish and DJ Blink who are South East Asian EDM champions. The esteemed duo has been gradually increasing their fame through releases on Universal Music, Dirty Dutch, Vicious and MixMash Records. Then there's DJ Victor G who boasts over a decade’s worth of experience in the club scene, bagging numerous awards along the way. Another top name is Ben Cracko, the first DJ of the year of 2006 to win all of the JUICE awards and also a former Pioneer Digital DJ Battle champion himself. Also, joining the panel for the first time this year is Cyrix Leong, a remarkably experienced Pioneer personnel who has overseen many Pioneer Digital DJ Battles over the years. One of the highlights of this year's Battle is that it will take place at a brand new venue – Main Room of the newly relocated and refurbished Zouk Kuala Lumpur. Touted as one of the most lavish and eminent nightspots in Malaysia, Zouk Kuala Lumpur is also home to many music luminaries around the world.
