The summer months are quickly approaching which means YOUR public library is busy gearing up for this year’s Summer Reading program! This year’s theme is “Libraries Rock!”. The hot summer months are the ideal time for adults and teens to slow down and experience the joy of reading. With schools out of session, summer is also an opportunity for parents and children to build and strengthen reading and language skills together. Being out of school for an extended period often means that children will lose some of their academic achievements gained during the school year. This is a condition called the “summer slide”, and your public library is here to help! So, whether you are looking to keep your child’s brain engaged or just want a break from the heat, let your public library rock your summer!

P Beat your reading slump by discovering new books and authors with Novelist, a new tool of your public library.
