Coordinator Message Despite the social limitations due to COVID-19, Pine Tree Hospice protocols for in-home visits have made possible companionship, grocery, respite, and more. Pine Tree Hospice is one of a very few hospice organizations in the state that steadily has moved forward in serving clients and families in their homes. Recently, long distance caregivers across the country have reached out to Pine Tree Hospice advocating for their loved ones living in our region. Pine Tree Hospice coordinator and volunteers are the eyes and presence on the ground for these families. How challenging must it be if you are family living far away and do not want to risk exposing your Maine relatives by flying to see them? A quick flight and visit really amounts to 14 days quarantine once you land, then a short visit before flying back and for many another 14-day quarantine before returning to work. Pine Tree Hospice is able to provide a bit of comfort to not only our clients but their families near and far. A huge thank you to the volunteers who make this all possible from those providing direct care to the indirect volunteers working behind the scenes. Knowledge is Power The next class, One Day at a Time, is on February 2nd, from 10-11:30. If you havent already been to a class, its not too late. Book Club

February’s Book Club is Tuesday, the 16th, from 9:30-11:00, via ZOOM.

Our discussions are always fun and illuminating, and even if you haven’t read, or finished the book, you are welcome to attend.

Because we’re on ZOOM, we can have people join us from outside our area, and if you know of anyone who

might enjoy this, please invite them to visit their local library, or go to their Kindle and get the reading.

Even though we aren’t having a Variety Show this year, the Quilt Raffle will go on! Ask us for tickets to sell, or

come in and buy them for yourself, and for your friends.

The quilt will be on display at the Center Theatre in Dover-Foxcroft, too. Help us with the Quilt Raffle!
