Logging into PINACLE® Express

On the Sign On screen, enter your Company User ID, Operator ID, Password, and Token Passcode (if applicable).

Begin by going to http://www.pnc.com in your web browser. Once there, select SMALL BUSINESS from the top of the screen. Next, click on the drop-down box under SIGN ON TO OTHER SERVICES, located on the left-hand side of the page, and select PINACLE® Express to access the Sign On page.

Passwords must adhere to the following rules:

• Between 8-14 characters

• At least one letter, one number, and one special character

• No spaces

When changing your password, a strength indicator shows red until the password meets the minimum requirements, at which point it turns green.

Token at Login

The following services require a Token Passcode:

• ACH

• Funds Transfer

• Payables Advantage

• Capital Markets

• Foreign Exchange

• Token Passcode •

If you are trying to access ACH, Funds Transfer, Payables Advantage, Capital Markets, or Foreign Exchange a Token Passcode MUST be entered. If no Token Passcode is entered on the login page, you will be prompted to input one upon entering the module. Tokens are assigned to operators by your company’s administrators. Operators MUST have a token assigned to them in order to access the above services.

PLEASE NOTE: If your company or Operator ID is set up to have Token at Login as a requirement each time you are logging into PINACLE® Express, regardless of what service(s) you are accessing, you MUST enter a Token Passcode.

To generate the Token Passcode, simply press the gray button on the token. A random response is generated. Type that response into the Token Passcode field. To order additional tokens, please contact your PNC Treasury Management Officer or Sales Associate.

Main Menu

Quick Find: Top of every screen of PINACLE® Express Proprietary & Confidential

• The Utility Bar, located at the top right of the main menu, contains the My Profile, Message Center, Event Notification, Administration, Contact Us, and Help functions. These links may vary depending on your entitlements. Clicking the Log Out link will end your current PINACLE® Express session. Failure to do this may cause you to receive a duplicate login with your next login attempt.

• The Modules Tab Bar displays modules that your Operator ID are entitled to. These are listed in alphabetical order at the top of the screen. To access a module, simply click on its tab. If you have more than 12 tabs, you will see an Other tab. Clicking Other will display the rest of the modules.

• The Quick Links dropdown gives you a list of commonly used PINACLE® Express functions to which you have entitlements (i.e. performing a check inquiry or initiating a wire).

•The Message Bar runs across the length of the screen. It will contain information on Alerts, Informational Messages, and Event Notifications. To learn more about a message that has been posted, either click on the banner message or click directly on the Message Center hyperlink. Once you have read and acknowledged the message(s), the Message Bar will disappear. For more information, please see the Message Center slide.

Upon logging in, the Home Page screen will display. This screen features Previous or Current Day Account Summary, PINACLE® Express news, and Topics of Interest.

Clicking the My Profile link on the Utility Bar directs you to the Preferences screen. This page allows you to set preferences for your Home Page, as well as modules to which you have entitlements. For more information on Preferences, see the training modules for the respective services.

The Security Information section allows you to change your password and Security Questions.

The Change Email screen allows you to change and/or add your email address on file for your Operator ID. An email address is needed in order to Report/Track Issues, receive Event Notification emails, and/or utilize the password self-reset function on the Login Page.

Whenever there is a System Alert, Event Notification, and/or Informational Message available, a message banner will display at the top of the page. Multiple messages may appear in this message bar.

Depending on the severity of the message, the bar may appear red (indicating a System Alert), orange(Event Notifications are available), or blue (an Informational Message is available).

To read a message, you can view it on the Home Page portlet, click directly into the Message Center from the Utility Bar, and/or click onto the message banner at the top of the page.

To view messages within your history, click on the View Message History link, located at the top of the Message Center. You can choose which types of messages to expand or choose to expand all messages at once.

The Message Center contains two pages: View Messages and View Message History. The View Messages page is the first page that will display when you first enter the Message Center. This page will display new messages that are unacknowledged.

To view messages, you can choose to expand all sections, expand only a specific section, or click on the message type hyperlink to expand.

To acknowledge a message, check the box to the left of the message or choose Select All Expanded Messages and click the Acknowledge Selected Messages button at the bottom of the page. Acknowledged messages will be moved to the View Message History page and the message bar at the top of the screen will disappear.

Click Track Issues from Contact Us. Issues submitted through the web and those reported over the phone will display, providing you with a complete record of your interaction.

You can easily identify the two types of issues:

Issues entered via the web are marked with a globe icon.

Issues reported by phone are marked with a telephone icon.

In addition to calling or emailing, you can submit issues directly through PINACLE®

Express. TMCC maintains a service level agreement of two business days. You will receive a response to your issue within this time frame.

Click Report Issues from Contact Us on the Utility Bar. The first screen will prompt you to select the specific Product and Account for the issue you are reporting. Click Continue.

Next, select Problem/Issue you wish to report. If your issue does not appear in the list, select Otherand click Continue.

The final screen allows you to enter Additional Information, describing the issue you are reporting. Click Submit. Your issue will be sent to the proper department for a resolution. An issue tracking number will be assigned to each case.

Manage Requests: Add and Review Service Requests

Operators with the Service Requests entitlement can add certain service changes to their PINACLE® Express setup and view submitted requests. Changes submitted are sent to your company’s PNC Treasury Management Representative and will affect the entire Company ID.

Manage Requests: Reports

The Reports option allows you to view an audit report for one or all operators within the Service Requests service.

Please Note: Only operators with the proper entitlements will have access to the various Contact Us functions.

The Account Transfer service makes it easy for you to transfer funds between your PNC accounts on a real-time basis up until 10:00 PM EST each business day. You can create multiple transfers at one time, create single transfers, set up scheduled or recurring transfers, view scheduled transfers, pull reports, and Approve a transfer (if your company is set up with the Dual Approval feature).

PROCESSING TRANSFERS (same day)

Account Transfers are immediately processed (real-time) once submitted on a business day. For those companies with Dual Approval turned ON, Account Transfers will immediately process once the transfer has been approved. The cutoff time for immediate processing is 10:00 PM EST. Any transfers submitted after 10:00 PM EST will process the next business day.

FUTURE DATED TRANSFERS

You may future date an Account Transfer up to 30 days in advance. If you choose to future date a transfer, it will process at 7:00 AM EST on the value date, given that it is a business day.

FREQUENCY OF TRANSFERS

The Account Transfer module allows you to decide how often you would like your transfers to occur: One Time Only, Weekly, Bi-Weekly, Monthly, First Day Of The Month, Last Day Of The Month, or Every Three Months. If you specify a frequency to occur, it will process on that value date at 7:00 AM EST, given that it is a business day.

Begin by clicking the Account Transfer tab on the tabbed module bar located towards the top of the screen.

The first page that you will be directed to is based on your entitlements and preferences. If an operator ID has been given the Initiate/Delete/Hold capability, the opening page will be either Multiple Entry or Single Entry (this may be changed in the Preferences section). The default opening page is the Multiple Entry Page.

MULTIPLE ENTRY

The Multiple Entry page allows you to enter more than one account transfer at a single time for immediate processing. From this page, you can choose the accounts to transfer between, view the balances, choose a value date, determine a frequency, and retain information.

Multiple Entry: Main Page

Value Date – This is the date that you want the transfer to occur. The date that is shown is the soonest a transfer can occur. It will default to the current day that you are in up until the cutoff time of 10:00 PM EST. If it is after the cutoff time, the date will default to the next business day. To future date an account transfer, click on the calendar icon to choose a day. You can future date within the next 30 calendar days.

Amount – The amount of the transfer.

Frequency – Choose how often you would like the transfer to occur. You can select One Time Only, Weekly, Bi-Weekly, Monthly, First Day Of The Month, Last Day Of The Month, or Every Three Months.

Retain – By checking this box, the transfer’s name, from/to accounts, amount, and frequency will be saved as entered for future use in the Multiple Entry page for ALL operators who have entitlements for BOTH of the retained accounts.

Transfer Name – This field is optional for One Time Only transfers, but is required for all other frequencies. You can enter a transfer name up to 20 characters long. Each name must be different than a name that is already saved in the system.

From Account – Choose an account number from the drop-down list in which you want the funds to debit from.

To Account – Choose an account number from the drop-down list in which you want to credit.

Balance – Displays the real time balances of the selected from/to accounts. Account balances can change regularly due to account activity. To refresh these balances, click on the Get Balances link that is located in the top right-hand corner of the page.

Multiple Entry: Initiating a Transfer

To initiate an account transfer, place a checkmark to the left of the transfer(s) that you would like to initiate. You may do more than one transfer at the same time. Next, enter a Name for your transfer (this is a required field for frequencies other than “One Time Only”). Select your From and To accounts, Value Date, Amount, and Frequency.

* Each operator can set up their own Preferences on how information is displayed within the Account Transfer

module. For additional information on setting up user Preferences, please refer to the Preferences section of this user guide.

As a default, the system will automatically display the account balance as soon as you

select your From and To accounts. *This can be changed in the Preferences section.

A confirmation page will appear once you submit a transfer. The system will automatically assign a Trace ID to each transfer. This can be used in the Reports section to pull detail/statuses. You can print this page for your records. If you have any transfers reject, this page will give you details as to why the transfer rejected.

Each row represents one transaction. If you specified a frequency, the current transfer will show, along with the next scheduled transaction. If your company has Dual Approval turned ON, the confirmation page will display a status of Pending Approval.

Multiple Entry: Retaining a Transfer

If you would like to save information from a transfer to be used in the future, you can utilize the Retainfeature. The transfer’s name, from/to accounts, amount, and frequency will be saved for future use in the Multiple Entry page for ALL operators who have entitlements for BOTH of the retained accounts.

To begin, enter a name, up to 20 characters, under the Transfer Name column that would allow you to recognize your transfer. Next, select your From and To accounts, Value Date, Amount, and Frequency of your transfer. The Frequency for Retained transfers should always be “One Time Only”. All other Frequencies (Weekly, Bi-Weekly, Monthly, First Day Of The Month, Last Day Of The Month, and Every Three Months) will automatically be scheduled in the system for automatic processing.

Place a check in the checkbox under the Retain row for the transfer(s) that you would like to retain. Hit the Submit button when you are ready to process your transfer. This transfer is now retained for future use at the top of the Multiple Entry page, with a checkmark in the Retain checkbox.

To delete a retained transfer, simply uncheck the Retain checkbox, and hit the Submit button. The transfer will be removed from the list.

If you would like to save information from a transfer to be used in the future, you can utilize the Retainfeature. The transfer’s name, from/to accounts, amount, and frequency will be saved for future use in the Multiple Entry page for ALL operators who have entitlements for BOTH of the retained accounts.

To begin, enter a name, up to 20 characters, under the Transfer Name column that would allow you to recognize your transfer. Next, select your From and To accounts, Value Date, Amount, and Frequency of your transfer. The Frequency for Retained transfers should always be “One Time Only”. All other Frequencies (Weekly, Bi-Weekly, Monthly, First Day Of The Month, Last Day Of The Month, and Every Three Months) will automatically be scheduled in the system for automatic processing.

Place a check in the checkbox under the Retainrow for the transfer(s) that you would like to retain. Hit the Submit button when you are ready to process your transfer. This transfer is now retained for future use at the top of the Multiple Entry page, with a checkmark in the Retain checkbox.

Quick Find: Account Transfer � Single Entry Page

To delete a retained transfer, simply uncheck the Retain checkbox on the Multiple Entry page and hit the Submit button. The transfer will be removed from the list.

Scheduled: Placing a Transfer On Hold

If you want to prevent a transfer from occurring, you can place it on hold. To do this, simply check the box located under the Hold? column and hit Submit. You may select more than one transfer to put on hold at the same time. The status of the transfer will then change to On Hold.

If a transfer has a status of On Hold on the scheduled date of the transfer, the transfer will NOT take place. If a transfer had a status of “One Time Only” before it was placed on hold, then the transfer will no longer show on this page after the transfer date is reached.

Scheduled: Removing a Hold on a Transfer

To remove a hold on a transfer, uncheck the box under the Hold? Column and hit Submit. The status will change to Scheduled and will process on the value date indicated.

Whenever you submit a hold, remove a hold, or delete a transfer, the system will display the total count for each action.

There are 3 types of reports:

1. Search by Trace ID Enter the Trace ID of a particular transfer to display the details.

2. Activity Reports By Date This report will allow you to view all account transfers on a particular Value Date from the last 90 days or any future dated transfers. To begin, click on the calendar icon to choose a date (the current date is automatically shown). Next, click on the Account Transfer Report link. The report will display.

3. Miscellaneous Reports • Custom Account Transfer Report – Customize your report to display only the data that

you choose.

• Account Transfers Pending Approval Report (Only for those companies with Dual Approval) – Displays only those account transfers that require an approval before it can

be processed.

• Scheduled Account Transfers Report – Shows all transfers in a status of Scheduled.

• Recurring Account Transfer History Report – Displays all history records of all transfers with a frequency other than “One Time Only”.

• Audit Report – View the audit activity for all operators or a particular operator within

the last 90 days.

Quick Find: Account Transfer ���� Reports

To view the audit report, select all operators or a specific operator to view their activity. In the Date field, the current date will show. However, if you would like to view a day within the last 90 days, click on the calendar icon to choose a date. Next, hit Submit to view the report. �

The report will display the Operator IDs, Date/Time, and actions taken within the Account Transfer module.

To view detail of an Operator’s transaction, simply click on the Date/Time hyperlink or hit the

button at the top of the report to expand all transactional detail.

ACCOUNT TRANSFER STATUSES

STATUS DESCRIPTION

PENDING The transfer has been submitted, but not yet sent for system processing.

SENT The transfer has been sent for system processing.

RECEIVED The transfer was received for processing.

SCHEDULED The transfer has went through system processing, but is future dated or is a frequency other than “One Time Only”.

CONFIRMED The transfer has been processed and completed successfully.

REJECTED The transfer has been processed, but rejects due to Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) or the company/operator account transfer limits were exceeded.

INVALID ACCOUNT

The transfer was submitted by the user, but was not sent for processing because at least one of the accounts selected is not set up for transfers.

PENDING APPROVAL

For those companies with Dual Approval turned ON: The transfer has been submitted, but requires an Operator to approve it in order for it to process.

DELETED An operator selected for the transfer to be deleted.

STALE DATED For those companies with Dual Approval turned ON: No action was taken on a transfer in a Pending Approval status by the current business day’s cut-off

time.

ON HOLD An operator selected for the transfer to be placed on hold.

The Approve feature will only appear for those companies who have the Dual Approval feature turned ON for the Account Transfer module*. With Dual Approval, one operator ID creates the account transfer and a different operator ID, with the proper entitlements, would have to approve the transfer before it is processed.

Approve: Main Page

The Approve function will only appear for those companies with Dual Approval turned ON. All account transfers that are displayed in this section are in a status of Pending Approval and will not process until an Operator approves them. All account transfers submitted requires approval before processing.

Select Approve to proceed with approving this transfer for processing. You can also delete a transfer by selecting it under the Delete column.

Hit the Submit button to process the selected Approved transfer(s) or to process the selected deleted transfer(s).

A confirmation page will appear once you have approved and submitted a successful account transfer. The system will automatically assign a Trace ID to each transfer. This can be used in the Reports section to pull detail/statuses.

• Pending Approval transfers will only appear in an Operator’s view on this page if that operator was NOT the initiator of the transfer, and if that Operator has been given entitlements to Approve for both accounts!

Preferences

The Preferences section allows you to customize how you would like information displayed within the Account Transfer Module. Operators who have Account Transfer assigned to them, with the entitlements to Initiate/Delete/Hold for at least one account number, will have access to these preferences. Each Operator sets up their own preferences.

Begin by clicking on the My Profile link, located at the top of the page, and then choose Account Transfer under Preferences on the left.

Auto Look-Up Balances on Multiple Entry Page

Select YES if you would like your account balances to display assoon as you select the From and To accounts. Select NO if you want the balances to only display when you hit the Get Balances link.

Initiate Transfer Opening Page

This option allows you to change the opening page of the AccountTransfer module. You can choose to have the Multiple Entry pagedisplay first (default) in order to enter more than one transfer at the same time; or you can choose to have the Single Entry page display first to enter one transfer at a time.

Number of Free-Form Transfer Rows

This option applies to the Multiple Entry page. Select the number of blank transfer rows to display. You can choose from 5 (default), 10, 15, 20, 25, or 50. These blank rows will displaybelow any retained transfers.

Administration

Click Administration on the Utility Bar at the top of the screen. This takes you to the Administration Module, where Administrators (or Operators with administrative privileges), can perform a number of administrative functions applicable on both the company and Operator levels.

• Name Accounts allows you to assign meaningful names to your accounts for identification purposes.

• Entitlement Report allows you to view all Operator-level services and entitlements for your company.

• Manage Operators allows you to create new or edit existing Operators, disable or enable an Operator, clear session and change password for an Operator.

• Operator Approval Report allows you to view Operator Approval Settings by service. (Optional feature)

Click the Manage Operators link. The functionality of the remaining links is covered in more detail in the PINACLE® General/Administration Training Module.

Various functions within the administration module can be assigned to an existing operator. Begin by locating the Operator’s profile. This is done by either entering the Operator’s Last Name, First Name, Operator ID, Role, Status, Token Serial No., or by Module(s) and clicking on .

Once you have located the ID of the Operator you wish to edit, click on the link under the Module(s) column this will take you directly to the Modules & Utilities Tab. Under the heading Assign or Administration is a listing of those services for which you have administrative entitlements, meaning you can add any of these services to another Operator’s entitlements.

Begin by locating Account Transfer on your list of services. Place a checkmark under the Assign column to assign the service to the operator. If you would like for that operator to assign this service to others, place a checkmark under the Administrator column.

Click on Submit at the bottom of the page to save your changes. Clicking on the Module Name will show you what functions the operator is currently assigned with. Next click on the Manage link to assign the accounts and limits for Account Transfer.

Enter a limit for how much this operator can initiate per day.

Enter a limit for how much this operator can initiate for each transfer.

After clicking on the Manage link on the Module & Utilities Tab, you are taken to a page to assign limits and accounts to the Operator ID that you are updating. A Daily Company Transfer Limit is shown. This amount is the maximum that your company can transfer in one day. If you need to change your Company Transfer Limit, please contact your PNC Treasury Management Officer or Sales Associate.

Utilize the checkboxes to assign the accounts that you want this operator to transfer between within the Account Transfer module. There is also a checkbox to assign ALL ACCOUNTS FOR ALL FUNCTIONS.

Hit Submit to save the changes.

Choose if you would like this operator to have access to the Account Transfer Audit Report.
