Pilatesscreen:Thisisageneralassessment,sowecanseehowyourbodymovesandidentifythebestapproachtohelpyouachieveyourPilatesgoals.Thisismandatorybeforeclassesandispartofthe‘NewtoPilatesPackage’toensuresafetyandsothatwecandirectyoutothemostappropriateclass.
Pilates1:1ACCorPRV:ThisisasessionwithjustyouandaphysioorPilatesinstructor.WewillcarryouteitherthePilatesscreenorafullphysioassessment.Followupsessionsare30minsandgearedtowardsyourspecificneeds.Thisisthebestoptionifyouhaveaninjury,pain,arepre-orpost-natal,followingsurgeryorwouldpreferthe1:1input.
Matclass:Exercisesaredoneonthefloor/matusingsmallprops(therabands,foamrollers,circles,chiballs).Matsareprovidedbutpleasebringatoweloryourownmatforhygiene.Maxnumbersare10perclass,classtime45mins.
Reformerclass(inclteens):Reformersareaspring-basedmachine.Thespringscanassistyourmovementtoaidflexibility,butalsoaddresistancetochallengeyourstability/strength.Werecommendthatyouhavesome1:1sessionsbeforejoiningareformerclassifyouhaveneverdonePilatesbefore.Maxnumbers4,classtime45mins.Pleasebringsocks(ideallygrippy)forhygiene.Rehabclass:ThisusesallthePilatesequipmentwhichconsistsofthereformers,atowerbar,chair,spinecorrectorandallthesmallpropsusedonthemat.Thisisaclasswhereyoucanworkonyourownindividualprogrammeunderthesupervisionofaninstructor.Thisisagoodprogressionfrom1:1Pilatesifyouhaveaspecificinjuryorrehabgoalthatyouwouldliketoachieve.Youwillhaveyourownprogrammesoeachpersonintheclassisworkingdifferently.Maxnumbers5,classtime45mins.Pleasebringsocks(ideallygrippy)forhygiene.PregnancyPilates:Pilatesisasafeformofexerciseforyourpre-andpost-natalbody.Ourspecialisedequipmentallowsyoutoexercisewithoutoverstressingyourpelvicfloor,ligamentsandmuscles.Werecommend1:1sessionsifyouarepregnant,orpost-natalandthenprogressiontoourrehabclass.IfyouareveryexperiencedinPilatesourreformerandmatclassesmaybeappropriatebutwesuggestandassessmentfirsttoguideyoutothebestoption.Wearepelvicsafecertifiedpractitionersandcanreferyoutoapelvichealthspecialistphysioifthisisnecessary.
