• Haanja – Aluksne region will have the ecology and culture preserving tourism, which is sustainable in local circumstances and competitive

preservation of local natural and culture heritage and the well being of local people

Packaging is also a possibility how to “name a price” to nature and culture sights, to those “soft” values, for which there’s no money asked if sole services are sold. Therefore there is a possibility to use the earned financial and other means to help the preservation and maintenance of those values.

Example: Haanjamaa matkakaartIt is a visitor (consumer) card issued by the co-operation network of local tourism enterpreneurs for frequent visitors, the discount (5%) is offered for frequent customers from tourism products (services), with this those enterpreneurs have also taken the obligation to support the preservation of the culture and nature of the area (Haanjamaa)

Tourism productPackaging is the possibility for obtaining new markets, concentrating interesting nature- and cultural sights of the region and developing them into good offer. Local nature and culture are important attracting factors, to reach the customer group who is ready to pay for it.

Owner of the product is the owner of package-product, compiled from sole services. Owner of the product is responsible for both contents of the product and also its conduction.

NB! If the owner of the product sells package product to the end user, owner has also the role of tour operator.

The activities of enterprise as a tour operator or travel bureau are listed in tourism law, allowed if there is a registration in register and presence of required escrow or guarantee
