Press and stick leading edge of mat to floor (fig. A). 3. Smooth out remaining length and press into place using hands (fig. B), feet or push broom. NOTE: For custom lengths, cut No-Trip Floor Mat using a standard utility knife or scissors. For long runs, installation is easier with two people: have one person hold leading edge in place while second person unwinds roll (fig. C), cuts to length (fig. D) and smooths mat. Easy installation made easier! Look for our convenient Installation Tool (GRP001) at newpig.com. MAINTENANCE Frequency of Changeouts No-Trip Floor Mat is extremely durable and designed to last up to 12 weeks. If the mat shows obvious signs of wear or a weakened bond to the floor before the end of that time frame, it should be replaced. NOTE: Do not pick up mat to clean the floor underneath until you are ready to replace it. Drying No-Trip Floor Mat is highly absorbent and fast-drying. Absorbed water will evaporate; standard fans or floor blowers can be used for accelerated drying. For extremely wet conditions, use a wet vac to extract water. Cleaning No-Trip Floor Mat is low-profile and extremely durable so it can be left in place during daily cleaning. Floor scrubbers, vacuums, brooms and mops pass right over without damaging the surface of the mat. Standard floor scrubbers can be used to clean No-Trip Floor Mat. For best results, use low settings for water and pressure. Mat should be as dry as possible before cleaning with floor scrubbers. Adhesive Cleaning Although uncommon, sometimes adhesive can stick to the floor when the mat is picked up. You can simply place a new mat on top of the old location or spray concentrated (undiluted) Simple Green ® (or similar all-purpose cleaner like Formula 409 ® ) on the adhesive residue, let it sit for a minute, then use a stiff bristle brush to loosen the adhesive and rinse with clean water. ADVANCED TIPS & TECHNIQUES

Installation Tool and Cutting Guide for PIG Adhesive-Backed Mats Use our multipurpose tool to make any installation easier. Functions as a cutting guide to make perfectly straight edges and 45° corners. Works as a float to smooth out mat in fewer passes than using your hands or feet. Look for GRP001 at newpig.com.

Trimming Edges and Corners If edges become worn or begin to lift, peel back mat until fresh adhesive is exposed, then trim and press new edge into place. When cleaning No-Trip Floor Mat with floor scrubbers, trim corners at a 45° angle for best results (fig. A).

High-Traffic Areas For areas with high traffic, cut mat corners at an angle to reduce potential lifting (fig. A).

Greasy Floors For areas that are exposed to oil or grease, clean floors with a degreaser. Be sure to rinse the surface thoroughly and allow it to dry completely before installing No-Trip Floor Mat.

Grouted Floors To prevent edge lift, avoid placing mat edges directly over grout lines (fig. B). No-Trip Floor Mat performs best when all of its edges are in direct contact with clean, smooth surfaces. After floor scrubbing, dry mop up any water left behind along mat edges.

Tight Spaces For tight or obstructed spaces, cut predetermined mat length from roll prior to final positioning. Longer runs may require two people to “hover” the mat into position, then press into place and smooth out.

Side-by-Side Installations Entrances and other areas that need more coverage may require two pieces of No-Trip Floor Mat to be installed beside each other. For best results, install Piece 1 by its leading edge (as described in Basic Installation on front). Next, install Piece 2 by its side edge, abutting the long side of Piece 1. Make sure there is no gap or overlap, then smooth Piece 2 away from the middle seam, out toward the edges.

Seams When two pieces of No-Trip Floor Mat meet (end-to-end or side-by-side), make sure the edges do not overlap (fig. C). Flat seams help to avoid potential trip hazards and premature lifting.
