Piedmont Athens Regional Foundation strives to inspire the generosity of a caring community with opportunities to improve lives through better healthcare. Since 1985, the foundation has raised over $30 million to benefit Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center. Major projects have included The Guest House, The Breast Health Center, The Loran Smith Center for Cancer Support, The Griffin-DuBose Healing Lodge, the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, the Healing Garden and a major renovation of the cafeteria creating the new Dogwood Bistro. The Foundation consistently attracts key business and community leaders as volunteers, board members and donors.
