IRON BOW IN ACTIONImproving Asset Management Accuracy

During transition of a state and local contract, Iron Bow found that the agency’s asset management database was only approximately

70 percent accurate. Iron Bow reviewed attributes within Active Directory, as well as the data available through Microsoft System

Configuration Center Manager and sanitized the data while integrating it with Iron Bow’s ticketing system. Iron Bow now maintains the

relationships between all hardware / software and any related incidents, problems, known errors, change and release documentation.

As incidents, problems, known errors, changes and releases are created within ticketing system, the technician selects the affected

and/or related Configuration Items (CI) which builds the relationships in the Change Management System real time. The recent

outcomes reflect more than 90 percent accuracy and currency of the more than 60,000 CIs that we track.

Preventing Unauthorized Access

Extending the concept of multi-factor identification to physical access increases facility security. Pairing cameras with badge readers

ensures that the badge being read by a badge reader is actually in the possession of the appropriate person. Beyond accessing a

facility, it is also important to know what devices are in the facility. Iron Bow can help identify solutions that detect Bluetooth and

cell phone signals in areas that should not have such devices.
