A security management system should be both sta-ble and reliable. ViPRO.sys believes it must also be fl exible. A prison has different requirements to an airport terminal, an administration head offi ce other demands as a manufacturing operation. Technology can therefore only be part of the solution. Decisive is the application of the technology in relation to the end goal. – optimise processes, recognise risks and advert danger. To this end specifi c requirements need

to defi ned, processes analysed and responses planned. A management system should be customised to fulfi l these requirements.

With this in mind ViPRO solutions were developed. A modern system for security information management. Based on years of industry experience, ViPRO.sys considers itself in the fi rst instance a supplier of risk management solutions and not a software supplier.

As the superordinated control entity a security ma-nagement system should always be one step ahead of the technology it connects. The development goal of ViPRO.solutions was no less than to define a new standard of software supported security manage-ment systems. To this end the underlying processes have been carefully considered, thoroughly analysed and cross checked for weaknesses.

Classical security management systems are designed to monitor subsystems and to notify operators in

the event of an alarm. The ViPRO solutions follow a different principle: to avoid the incidence occurring, through identification, classification and isolation of the source of the threat, utilising targeted process navigation, intelligent tools and easy handling.

Thanks to the modular structure and the decentra-lised architecture, ViPRO. Solutions are scalable in any direction and flexible enough to meet the requi-rements of every industry.

The security management system ViPRO.gms integrates different technical system, connecting the corresponding process signals in a superordinated software solution. All conditions and events are visualised, in a clearly presented, user friendly frontend Thanks to the technological foundation, flexible modulation and intuitive operation, the user is in the position to avoid critical situations or recognise critical situations early and through the correct response avoid associated loss and damages.

The risk management system ViPRO.rms both appraises the situation arising out of a combination of dynamic events and evaluates the associated current and /or future risks. For this purpose information signals from the connected system and corresponding processes are linked, interpreted and visualised in the form of a risk graph. Through integrated workflow management the user will receive the optimal decision making support - in real time. ViPRO.rms can be used for operational management, as well as for training and simulation exercises.

The hosting management system ViPRO.hms integrates different components and systems under a single hosting platform, making the functions of ViPRO.gms and ViPRO rms accessible without the hardware investment.

A security management system has in principle three key functions: to ensure the right information is delivered, at the right time, to the right place. At each point mistakes can occur which can result in significant loss and/or damages. A software system should minimise the source of these mistakes and support the operator in the fulfilment of his tasks. ViPRO.gms simplifies the daily work of the operator through an ergonomically optimised user front end,

coherent user guidance and clear recommendations for actions, whether audio, video, picture, text, flow charts or two or 3 dimensional graphics. Thanks to the consequent use of modern software Silver light and the Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) the full spectrum of multimedia possibilities are available and have been implemented to the advan-tage of the user.

A security management system should provide for more security. So far, So good! However what about the security of the system itself. How stable is the technological platform, how high is the failure quote and what happens should problems occur.

ViPRO.gms has chosen the safest path by spreading the load over a number of shoulders. That means: all of the software modules are run on different workstations, removing the requirement for a central server. Should one of the components fail, the whole

system remains unimpaired. If required functions can be stored on the individual operating stations. Costly redundant systems and time consuming back up procedures are dispensed with.

Further advantages of the decentralised architecture: the system is scalable practically without limits and can easily be extend in terms of, buildings, com-ponents, functions and users whilst remaining in operation. ViPRO.gms evolves in line with demands and development of the organisation.

The applicant should be young, dynamic and educa-ted. He should have the future before him but at the same time have a proven track record and extensive experience. As with some job descriptions this is a profile which is impossible to fill. – However in the case of ViPRO.sys this all applies.

Although the company is new in the market, behind it is years of accumulated branch competence. Jens Hofmann and Andreas Voigt responsible for the de-velopment of the ViPRO.solutions are two proven experts, who have already through earlier projects and developments made a name for themselves.
