Education: Master Degree was obtained in 1982 in Department of Chemistry, East China Institute of Chemical Technology (present name: East China University of Science and Technology), Shanghai 200237, China. Physical Chemistry Specialty Ph.D. degree was obtained in 1986 in Department of Chemistry, Fudan University. Shanghai 200433, China. Physical Chemistry Specialty (Electrochemistry). Research career:

y 1986.8. – 1988.8., Postdoctoral fellow in Institute of Chemistry, CAS (ICCAS), Beijing 100190, China. Doing the research on the electrochemistry of conducting polymers with Prof. Renyuan Qian.

y 1988.9. – present, staff of ICCAS, Beijing 100190, China. 1993.- present, Professor.

y 1988.10.-1991.4., Visiting scholar, Institute for Molecular Science (IMS), Okazaki, Japan. Doing research on organic conductors and organic semiconductors in Prof. Hiroo Inokuchi’s group.

y 1997.6. – 1998.6., Visiting Scientist, Institute for Polymers and Organic Solids, UCSB, USA. Doing the research on polymer light-emitting electrochemical cells in Prof. Alan J. Heeger’s group.

Present research interests:

Polymer solar cells and related photovoltaic materials (including conjugated polymer donor, fullerene derivative acceptor and solution-processable organic molecule donor materials) and interfacial buffer layer materials. Publications:

Two books, more than 10 book chapters and more than 400 research papers have been published in the fields of conjugated polymer optoelectronic materials and devices, electrochemistry of conducting polymers and semiconductor nanocrystals. The published papers have been cited by others for more than 12600 times, h-factor: 60.
