Depth of Field in Macro

The depth of field in photography is the distance between the nearest object and the furthest object and the focus of those objects. In the picture on the left, the ladybug is completely visible and has extreme detail and sharpness but the background is fuzzed out, but because of this effect it makes the ladybug stand out more.

LandscapePhotographs of landscapes are taken to show the different spaces in the world and to capture the beauty of the moment and preserve it.

Landscape photographs are usually of nature, landmarks, ambient lights and weather but has little or no human presence within the shot.

Sometimes, landscape photographs are used as reference in the film industry to show how the area looks like and whether they should film there or not. Robert

Fashion PhotographyFashion photography has been around since 183 and has evolved wildly since then. The idea of fashion photography was created to make the clothes and model look good and help sell the clothes.Though nowadays, fashion photography isn’t as natural as

it was before then it is now. It has now become more of an art and picture look more strange and exaggerated. The models look like walking pieces of artwork and feature the not so healthy looking model.

But since the introduction of editing software's and modernization, the wacky clothes and has defined body lines have become more acceptable then it was before when showing too much skin would be not as appealing then it is now.

Fashion – Past and PresentVogue 1960

Vogue 2012

Comparing these two pictures you can see that there is a clear difference in style, colour and quality. The 2012 cover has more definition and clearness than the 1960 cover. Also the style the clothes are worn are different as well. The model on the left doesn’t show as much skin than the model on the right, which has cleavage, which is now more socially acceptable then it was back then.

ADVERTISING PHOTOGRAPHYAdvertising photography is used in order to make the product stand out more and make people think it necessary to have likes it’s part of their life, a must have item.

Advertising companies also want people to look in deeper into the advert and find out more about the ads content.

Adverts sometimes have subliminal messaging in order to subconsciously make you do certain things, there have been some cases and test to see if it actually works and many test have come out favorably.

Portrait Portrait photography is the photography of a person or group of people that displays the expression, personality, and mood of the subject. The focus of the photograph is usually the person's face, although the entire body and the background may be included. There are two types of portrait photography; formal and informal. Formal being a picture for an ID card and informal would be social or a school photo.

Portrait – Formal and Informal

Formal

Informal

The difference between a formal and informal are quite clear. A formal photo usually has the person’s face in the middle and only shows from the shoulder blades (not necessarily every photo) and up, whereas the informal photo has freedom movement and doesn’t limit where someone's body position is.

Photojournalism – Warping Tech

Photojournalism has changed over the years and the agencies that use it have been losing the trust of the people over the years. In the past before editing software’s, photos that were taken were real and told a story, with near to zero potential of misunderstanding and dis-trust. But with the introduction of Photoshop and the evolving mind of what is considered important, photos have lose their reliability and suspicions of photos being fake a higher than ever.
