Composition and Framing

The composition of the image makes the image look like a war in the night sky with the vibrant greens but also the evil oranges in the bottom left of the image. It seems like the image was shot with high aperture. The reason that I can tell that the image was shot with high aperture is that the image was shot at night but also there is a lot of detail in the night. The right side of the image is dominated by the greens of the Aurora Borealis but the left side of the image is orange but at half the size which make the image dominated by the green and orange but faded in with the black.

Purpose

This image was taken when by Nick Ut and this is his most famous picture. The girl in the centre of the image is called Phan Phuc in severe pain. The picture was showing the horrors of war on little children after Napalm bombing on a Vietnamese village on 8th June 1972. This image will be shown in places, which show war such as exhibitions, memorials or other iconic places of war. The image was composed in a way to show the subjects pain and suffering as there homes and lives get destroyed.
