If I am interviewing a band of 2 or more, I would go for this structure due to each of them getting a piece of the pie on the main image. Equal publicity. Also, gives the audience more of an idea of what the whole band look like and each individual looks equal, apart from the main singer has to be in the middle for obvious reason, because he will be the most recognisable and first to look at on stage.

If I am interviewing a solo artist, this would be the inspiration for the shot I would use due to the audience getting a full image of the face of the artist, again, mainly for more publicity and to make the artist become more recognisable.

Also adds a sense of professionalism due to KERRANG using this kind of shot before, and with that being such a high profile rock magazine, will make mine look a lot more professional.

Photo shoot - Double Page Spread

This is definitely the type of contents page layout I am looking to do due to it having the stereotypical layout for a Rock magazine and also the shots used follow the connotations. The low key lighting and edgy look through the facial expressions the artist use. Also it is always the main artist as the main image as such on the top of the contents page always. And the main image will take up at least a quarter of the whole page, leaving a quarter for the image of the front cover which is a necessity and the bottom 2 quarters for any other smaller images and the main page numbers that will be included with their article attached. The background on mine would also most likely be the same as the given examples, a solid black or white, more likely black to follow the colour scheme of the genre.

These 2 examples of double page spreads are the inspiration as to what I am going to lay mine out like when I gather all the information from the band/artist I will be interviewing, the style of a whole page being taken up by an image of the artist and then the article of the topic based on. I have chosen to use this layout due to it looking very professional, and If I was able to resemble this layout and the presentation of this example, it would look very good and presentable.
