A brilliant photography experience, which begins with a full Workshop on getting the best out of Museum & Classic Aircraft Photography.
This will then be followed by a wonderful opportunity to create some stunning, timeless images of the beautiful Lancaster NX611 Just Jane at the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre, East Kirkby.
She will be started up, with taxi runs and, under the operation of experts TimeLine Events, a professional team of re-enactors will recreate a timeless Bomber Command scene.
This will continue into the night, where the atmosphere takes a life of its own, with the priceless bomber and her crew expertly lit.
Classic photography at its very best.

PSG-1: Learn tips & technique and hone your skills for shooting in Museums

PSG-3: Capture the atmosphere of the beautiful ‘Just Jane’ in action.
PSG-4: Create timeless images of expertly recreated RAF Bomber Command scenes, as Just Jane is prepared for a WW2 sortie in daylight and into the night.

11.00hrs: Registration commences, welcome refreshments. Museum open, photography and viewing.
12.15hrs: Move to the museum’s private function room. Welcome & Overview by Rich Cooper.
12.30hrs: Working Buffet Lunch & Showcase, plus Q&A.
13.30hrs: Session 1: The Photography of Classic Aircraft.
14.30hrs: Convenience and refreshment break.
14.45hrs: Session 2: How to get the best out of a Museum Shoot
15.45hrs: Convenience and refreshment break.
16.00hrs: Session 3: Post-Processing for Museum & Classic shoots.

During the day… You do not need to use any photographic equipment. If, however, you would like to bring a laptop to make notes on, or even follow through some of the Workflow direction, then you are very welcome to do so but it is not a necessity.

17.00hrs-22.30hrs: A five-hour Just Jane sunset run & night shoot.
The below information is a description of the evening & night photo shoot from organiser TLE…The event will start in daylight at 17.00hrs with cameo scenes reminiscent of those dark days of WW2, scenes only made possible due to the help of our re-enactor friends that are meticulous about the uniforms and kit. Then as the Sun starts to set we will be treated to the sight of those Merlin's being fired up one by one before Just Jane sets off to strut her stuff in front of the assembled photographers on the grass runway, doing figures of eight giving you every opportunity to capture her from every angle.
“Calming things down again and as the evening draws in our lights will bring a different dimension to the scenes of the ground crews loading bombs ready for the young airman to take over and prepare our plane for her next night mission. Thankfully this mission will only see them fire up Just Jane's huge Merlin Engines once again. This our second run up of the evening will be timed to hopefully give us those electric blue skies. Engine runs allow us to capture those superb action shots that are the trade mark of any propeller plane at night.
In addition to the iconic Lancaster we will have a supporting cast of bombs, trolley's and other WWII trucks from the Museum's wonderful collection and of course the ever faithful support of a cast of RAF Bomber Command re-enactors.
