With two climate-controlled interior decks, Virginia Elite is licensed by the United States Coast Guard to carry up to 80 passengers and crew.

New to our fleet in 2017, Virginia Elite is your go-to venue for smaller private celebrations. Charters may board and

disembark from a number of docking locations in Norfolk, Virginia Beach, the Peninsula, Williamsburg and Richmond.

WEDDING EVENTFAQS

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE WEATHER IS BAD? Our ships are built for this type of cruising. Rain does

not affect our cruising schedule; however, high winds

may prevent us from sailing or keep us closer to the

pier location. If you have a ceremony on the ship,

the captain and wedding coordinator will consult

the wedding party approximately one hour prior to

the scheduled ceremony. The rain location for the

ceremony will be inside with the exact same décor.

WHAT ABOUT SEA SICKNESS?Our vessels do not create the same pitch as an open

ocean vessel. This also means that we cannot be in the

open sea, as we are built for cruising in calm waters.

CAN WE BRING OUR OWN DECORATIONS?Yes, but there are a few restrictions. No glitter,

confetti, or open flames. Sand ceremonies are also

allowed. You are more than welcome to bring your

own flowers or centerpieces. Please confirm all details

with your wedding coordinator.

CAN I BRING MY OWN WEDDING CAKE?Yes. You can have your cake delivered to the ship

the day of your wedding (consult your wedding

coordinator about delivery times). Or you can order

a cake from us. We have a list of vendors that we

work with. A cake table is included in your reception

package.

DO WE DO A REHEARSAL BEFORE THE WEDDING DAY? We will perform one rehearsal the week of your

wedding; it should last no more than 30 minutes. Note

that if your party is late, we must still end the rehearsal

within 30 minutes of any scheduled cruises or events.

DOES THE BOAT HAVE A WEDDING PARTY SUITE? WHERE CAN THE WEDDING PARTY CHANGE?Due to limited space, we do not have a wedding party

suite on either ship. We suggest that the wedding

party arrive dressed in their wedding attire. However,

there are restrooms on deck that can be used as a

dressing room.

CONTRACT/DEPOSIT POLICIESYour signed contract and 25% non-refundable deposits

are required to confirm your reservation. An additional

25% is due at the halfway point between booking and

cruising. Additional passengers may be added up

to 30 days prior. Final payment is due 30 days prior

to cruising. There are no refunds or exchanges on

unused tickets. As a result of our limited capacity, all

payments are non-refundable. There are no monetary

refunds for canceled weddings and sometimes an

additional amount is due depending on cancellation

date.

SHARED DECK EVENTS (SPIRIT OF NORFOLK ONLY) First deck bow is the perfect place for a shared

reception. It has seating for 74 passengers and there

are sheers to close for private moments. If you are

a smaller group and choose to be on a shared deck,

there is no guarantee on the deck placement. All

guests will be seated together, but menus cannot be

altered and announcements will not be allowed on the

microphone.
