Picture Number 4: High Angle

1. The picture was take: Afternoon2. Describe the subject of the photo. Horse

statue in the Cowgirl museum in Fort Worth.3. Why did you choose this particular as one of

your photographs? This statue is used as a prop in photos by visitors to the museum. I have a lot of pictures of my kids on this horse at various ages.

Picture Number 5: Low Angle

1. The picture was take: Afternoon2. Describe the subject of the photo. Horse

statue in the Cowgirl museum in Fort Worth.3. Why did you choose this particular as one of

your photographs? This statue is used as a prop in photos by visitors to the museum. At a low angle, looking up at the horse, it seems completely different. The perspective is interesting to me.

Picture Number 6: Objective

1. The picture was take: Afternoon2. Describe the subject of the photo. A very long,

slow moving train going through Fort Worth on 7th street as viewed by me sitting in my car late for a meeting that was two blocks away.

3. Why did you choose this particular as one of your photographs? This picture is what I see when I forget that a train passes through at 2:30 every afternoon.

Picture Number 7: Subjective

1. The picture was take: Afternoon2. Describe the subject of the photo. I am the subject on

the back of the motorcycle with my husband driving.3. Why did you choose this particular as one of your

photographs? Every Memorial Day my husband, my dad, and myself go to Kerrville. I am from there and know the trip from Fort Worth to Kerrville, on the back roads, so well I could drive it my sleep. I don’t pay much attention to the scenery until I ride it on a motorcycle. So for 5 hours this is what I see.

Picture Number 8: One Main Picture Element

1. The picture was take: Morning2. Describe the subject of the photo. This photo

is of my daughter, Graci.3. Why did you choose this particular as one of

your photographs? This picture made the cut because I love the way Graci looks having just finished eating donuts and could care less that she is very messy.

Picture Number 9: 2 Main Picture Elements

1. The picture was take: Afternoon2. Describe the subject of the photo. This photo

is of my son Tanner and our dog Murray.3. Why did you choose this particular as one of

your photographs? Tanner and Murray are best friends, and nap like this often. I chose it because I love the way it makes me feel.

Picture Number 10: Close Up of Magazine Illustration

1. The picture was take: Evening2. Describe the subject of the photo. Picture

from Women’s Health magazine3. Why did you choose this particular as one of

your photographs? I was able to get the picture without the glare in the middle, which I found to be tricky!!

Picture Number 11: Close Up

1. The picture was take: Afternoon2. Describe the subject of the photo. Elephant

Ear in downtown Fort Worth.3. Why did you choose this particular as one of

your photographs? From a distance this plant looks like a typical filler, but up close it is actually beautiful.

Picture Number 12: Outdoor with Fill Flash

1. The picture was take: Morning2. Describe the subject of the photo. The elephant at the

Fort Worth Zoo.3. Why did you choose this particular as one of your

photographs? For the fill flash shot, I wasn’t quite sure what it was supposed to look like, but I knew I needed the opportunity to take several pictures of the same subject to get it right and elephants stay still. I think the trunk becomes the focal point with the flash on. Without the flash the trunk is actually a light gray with pinkish spots.

Picture Number 13: Backlit

1. The picture was take: Afternoon 2. Describe the subject of the photo. My

daughter Taylor3. Why did you choose this particular as one of

your photographs? Taylor takes beautiful pictures, she always looks so serene and happy. This picture was taken on the way home from school in the backseat of the car.

Picture Number 14: Great Depth of Field

1. The picture was take: Morning2. Describe the subject of the photo. A valley in

the Sierra Mountains in California.3. Why did you choose this particular as one of

your photographs? I chose this picture because I think the landscape is beautiful, nothing like you see in Fort Worth Texas.

Picture Number 15: Shallow Depth of Field

1. The picture was take: Afternoon2. Describe the subject of the photo. The ceiling of a 6th grade

class room. The stars are made with a die cut that are laminated and cut out by the teacher.

3. Why did you choose this particular as one of your photographs? I was visiting this room to inquire about a training request and I was immediately struck by the thousands of stars that hung from her ceiling. She uses it as motivation for her students. They earn stars with certain behavior, academic, and social achievements. The volume is overwhelming and the amount of work it takes is amazing.

Picture Number 16: Frozen Action Shot

1. The picture was take: Afternoon2. Describe the subject of the photo. The

whales at SeaWorld3. Why did you choose this particular as one of

your photographs? My kids picked this one out, this was their favorite part of SeaWorld.

Picture Number 17: Not Frozen Action Shot

1. The picture was take: Evening2. Describe the subject of the photo. One of the

roller coasters on top of the Stratosphere in Las Vegas.

3. Why did you choose this particular as one of your photographs? My husband and I were going to ride this until we got to the top and completely chickened out. Instead we spent a couple of hours on the top of the building watching other people ride it which seemed to be a popular pass time.

Picture Number 18: Overexposed

1. The picture was take: Evening2. Describe the subject of the photo. Lake

Charles at sunset.3. Why did you choose this particular as one of

your photographs? I thought this picture was interesting because of the lighting, it makes the scene seem spooky when in fact there are a ton of people and a party going on behind me.

Picture Number 19: Underexposed

1. The picture was take: Afternoon2. Describe the subject of the photo. A

motorcycle3. Why did you choose this particular as one of

your photographs? I thought that the over exposed effect made this motorcycle look really cool. It took a lot of trial and error with my camera, and I am not sure if it is correct but it looks cool.

Picture Number 20: Night Shot

1. The picture was take: Evening2. Describe the subject of the photo. Excalibur

hotel in Las Vegas 3. Why did you choose this particular as one of

your photographs? This hotel looks like a lot of fun and is always busy. This picture was taken at 3:00 in the morning and there were people everywhere.
