VANDERHOOF SALE, FRIDAY, AUGUST 10th, 2018

What a show here on Friday! Big drags of yearlings and a solid market to receive them. To start off we had three loads of steers from Dunlevy Ranch (Williams Lk) via our in house vid-eo. The first two loads (130 hd) were called 930 lb on Angus x steers and they did light a fire at 192.25, 900 lb Dunlevy steers stronger to Hereford fetched 188.50. Then we hit the ring with Garrett Ranches ( Vanderhoof) Hereford/Angus steers at 714 lb rock the stage at 224.75, 808 lb straight Hereford steers at 201.25. John Bree (Telkwa) in with 617 lb steers striking 235.50, 700 lb steers at 229.00. Bernie Klassen (Vanderhoof) with a batch of 805 lb steers reaching 212.25 and how about the 902 lb steers from Alex & Julie Kulchar at 190.75. Lone Fir Ranch (Fort Fraser) back with a great set of 866 lb Red Angus/Hereford steers racing to 197.25, 742 lb steers at 210.00. We had Poole Farms (Vanderhoof) with 570 lb steers at 235.00. Phil Klassen (Vanderhoof) saw his 1062 lb steers mark 177.75, Phil also had some 929 lb blk x heifers top 179.00 and a set of 885 lb Char x heifers at 183.75. Alf Nunweiler (PG) had 769 lb steers go to 216.25, 790 lb heifers hit 186.00 and an 1875 lb red bull from Alf brought 107.25. Rocco Tiani (PG) had 702 lb steers fetch 230.25, 675 lb heifers at 201.25. Walt Dettwiler (Vanderhoof) saw his 751 lb blk heifers reach 192.50. The Reimer Ranch (Vanderhoof) show-ing 655 lb blk x heifers worth 197.75, 740 lb heifers at 190.00 and an 1855 lb blk bull cracked 109.00. In all we enjoyed over 650 feeder cattle, hat's off to the producers, the yearlings are looking great! In the butcher trade we found just over 120 hd like the 1653 lb cows from Joe Schwegler (Smithers) that pierced 84.75. Little Valley Farms (Vanderhoof) had 1362 lb An-gus cows climb to 89.50. Mountain View Ranch (Vanderhoof) with an 1815 lb blk bull trading at 108.50 and winning the heavy weight division at this sale was a 1965 lb Char bull from Dan Goodvin (PG) topping the bull trade at 112.50. As we enjoy some strength in the market lets not forget to thank the folks who spend countless hours on the highways and in the front rows to force the great prices you are receiving. Things were really rolling along strong in Williams Lake as a huge volume of 700 hd of cattle hit

the sale ring. The Wandering Creek Ranch, Verlin & Candice Jantz and Family set the in-

credible pace with 130 top yearlings. Their top pen of 854 lb red & blk Angus hfrs raced to

183.00 and 22 hd of their 742 lb hfrs reach 189.25. A pen of their 609 lb strs notched 229.00.

Collette Jantz also saw her 682 lb blk Angus hfrs sell to 197.00. Don Chambers from Quesnel

had a pen of 7 strs 650 lb that brought 231.75 and a pen of 12 hfrs 673 lb raced to 204.00.

Wayne Daul set a pace with 700 lb blk Angus strs power to 215.00, 10 more of his 545 lb strs

sold to 231.50. Stephen & Monika Schlaepfer’s 636 lb strs hit 225.25, their 489 lb s/c reached

230.00. Ken & Janet Eckert of Big Eddy Ranch’s 769 lb hfrs traded to 184.50 and their 863

lb Angus X hfrs saw 183.25. Bob Seguin’s 860 lb blk hfrs reached 184.00 and his 751 lb blk

hfrs notched 191.75. Rusty Toews’ 751 lb Angus hfrs sold to 194.25. Chilancoh Ranch 632 lb

blk hfrs brought 203.00, their 572 lb hfrs rolled to 206.00. Tamihi Reforestation had 985 lb blk

strs sell to 177.00. Peebles Ranch from Burns Lake had 437 lb Char s/c top 247.00, the 349 lb

tan s/c reached 264.00 and the 442 lb h/c brought 229.00. Their load of 1604 lb butcher cows

sold to 87.50. Martin & Mary Rossman in with a butcher bull that traded to 118.50. Calvin &

Cathy Kirsh saw their butcher bulls mark 113.50. Pinnacle View Limousine had 1573 lb

butcher cows hit 96.00, their 454 s/c hit 245.00 and their 1366 lb cows topped 92.25. The Gang

Ranch had a good load 1030 lb blk hfrts sell to 118.00 and their 1164 lb cows traded to 91.00.

Stew & Jen Roberts 2000 lb butcher bulls sold to 115.00. The next sale is just 3 weeks away,

KAMLOOPS SALE, TUESDAY, AUGUST 21st, 2018 Kamloops sale – Tuesday Aug 21 rolled along well with just under 500 head of cattle on offer. We had a very good mix of yearlings, butcher cows and bulls and a few fancy calves. Marvin Tonn put the action into our calf trade with 350 lb s/c marking 265.00, their 678 lb Char X s/c raced to 218.00 and their 555 lb Char s/c saw 237.00. Peter Pooli from Valemont set a pace with a fancy group of 591 lb Simm/Red Angus X s/c power to 229.00, their 410 lb h/c reached 225.00. Don & Sandi Callaghan‘s 415 lb red baldie s/c top 258.00. Al Carson from Pember-ton with 350 lb h/c brought 232.50. Jim Knight from Vernon set the pace on the yearling trade with 956 lb blk Angus strs notching 186.50 and the big boys, 1058 lb sell to 179.00. The Buse Creek Ranch, Larry & Holly Campbell saw their strong 954 lbs strs reach 188.00, a pen of 889 lb strs raced to 192.00 and their beautiful 960 lb spayed hfrs hit 175.75. Andy Ciancone rolled in with a top pen of 1108 lb hfrs that sold to 154.00. The Arrowhead Ranch saw their load of 746 lb open hfrs trade to 190.00. Eldon Talbot from Chase had 809 lb strs top 197.00. Ron Eden from 70 Mile House had 577 lb hfrs power to 205.00. The Flying 20 Ranch from Merritt had 660 lb blk baldie strs notch 224.50 and 785 lb hfrs managed 182.00. Ron & Arlene Smith saw their 781 lb fancy Hereford strs trade to 194.00. Steve MacDougall from Barriere set things in line with 845 lb strs sold to 188.00. The Phillip Ranch with 868 lb strs also reached 188.00. Bill Bostock and Hugh Fallis sold their reputation 981 lb Hereford strs for 184.75. Helmet West had 764 lb strs reach 203.00. Ed & Donna from the Salle Ranch brought a pen of 800 lb red hfrs power to 184.00 and their 950 lb hfrs topped 176.00. Dave & John Harrison’s 1038 lb strs rolled to 178.00, their 793 lb strs hit 188.00. Colin Mikkelsen’s 1015 lb blk strs reached 181.75. Rey Creek Ranch brought 895 lb red strs that reached 192.25, 1074 lb hfrts traded to 129.00 and their 1200 lb cows hit 90.50 while the 3 yr old cows brought 93.00. Moving, sorting, and processing cattle (offloading, loading, branding, tagging, etc.)

Unload and load cattle handling equipment (gates, panels, cattle guards)

Handling other inventory items (mineral tubs, shavings, animal health products)
