Resolution 1

Extension in registration for carrying-out integrated Ph.D programme was discussed and was

recommended in favour of following scholars:-

Resolution 2

The request of Mr. Asif Ahmad, Ph. D Scholar, batch 2015, for grant of University

scholarship was discussed. However, HoD was authorized to study the case again and

recommend on the facts of the case.

Resolution 3

The admission of Mr. Sameeul Bashir, JRF, to 3 year integrated Ph. D programme has been

authorized by the Vice-Chancellor vide letter No. F(BORS-Comm & Mgt.

Studies/Res/KU/17 dated November 09, 2017. The candidate has produced permission from

BOSE cum leave sanction order vide letter No. F(Admn-B)CU/18 dated 24-04-2018.

Accordingly the scholar is allowed to join the programme within the specified period given

under statutes.

Resolution 4

Prof. Khursheed Ahmad Butt, the DRC member failed to submit the syllabus of Finance till

date owing to which the department is constrained to uphold the syllabus earlier approved by

the DRC dated 10-11-2017 and recommend afresh the syllabus to be approved by the

competent authority. Needless to mention that the scholars are pressing hard for conduct of

course-work. The fresh admission for integrated Ph. D. Programme is in the offing as well.

Resolution 5

The Assistant Registrar (Research) letter No. F(BORS-Com & Mgt. studies Res/KU/18 dated

February 15, 2018 was discussed threadbare in the DRC. It was observed that the scholar has

failed to submit the M.Phil dissertation even after availing the re-registration period which

expired on 15-07-2017. The scholar again failed to apply for fresh registration in the recently

held BORS on 30/12/2017. There are no statutory provisions together with sound justification

with the scholar and/ or the DRC to recommend her case for fresh registration.

The meeting ended with the vote of thanks to the chair.

be discussed. It was resolved that the said synopsis will be discussed in the next DRC

the synopsis as recommended by the BORS.

The change of mode of registration of Mr Bilal Ahmad Pandow from whole time to part-time

was discussed and deliberated upon. Since Mr. Bilal Ahmad Pandow got an overseas

appointment during the said registration period and fulfils all the necessary conditions for

Resolution 2

The practice of grant of fresh registration to the scholar having already completed maximum

research work and put in residency programme is in vogue in other departments in the

University. Fresh registration without any change in the topic of research and supervisor will

enable the scholar to submit dissertation.

In view of the above, the DRC resolved to recommend fresh registration in favour of Ms.

Sunnaya Waheed on the approved topic.

Resolution 3

Dr. Parvaaiz Ahmad Shah, Co-ordinator Research Activities, will co-ordinate the Course-

Work Programme for enrolled research scholars of the Department. The class work for the

same shall start from 27-06-2018.

The syllabi of Entrance Test for 3-year integrated Ph.D. programme was discussed and

recommended for approval of authorities.

Semester is slated to be completed by 15th August, 2018 and

their term end examination shall start in the last week of August, 2018.

The synopsis of the Ph.D. scholar, Ms Yusra Majeed, was discussed and deliberated upon. It

was resolved that the synopsis be revised in the light of the observation of the BORS held on

30/12/2017. The revised synopsis will again be placed in the DRC for its approval.

The DRC in its meeting held on 10-06-2016 recommended the Ph.D. topic of Mr. Bilal

Ahmad Pandow entitled, “Spillover Effects of Stock Split: An Analysis of Liquidity and

Volatility” (copy enclosed) as a part-time scholar. His request to join the programme by the

end of July, 2017 was accepted by the DRC in its meeting held on 16-05-2017 (copy

enclosed). However, for completion of required residency period, he joined the programme

on 25th

July, 2017.

Resolution 1

The synopsis of Ms. Yusra Majeed was thoroughly discussed and deliberated upon in the

light of observations of BORS held in January, 2018. The concerned supervisor placed the

revised synopsis for discussion and put-forth the rationale for undertaking the proposed

dated 28/05/2018 where in the undersigned was reqquested “to recommend fresh registration

by DRC in view of the fact that she has already completed her dissertation and is waiting for

permission to submit. The practice of grant of fresh registration to the scholar having already

completed maximum research work and put in residency programme, is in vogue in other
