Eating tiessa is like eating boiled kamote (sweet potatoes), given its fibrous, sticky texture and thick flesh. But it has a cloying sweetness that makes one fruit too much for just one person to finish.

Sepak Takraw is a sport native to Southeast Asia region in which players use a rattan ball and can only use their feet, knee, chest and head to touch the ball. The ball comes with directions and rules for gameplay.

Philippines flag

Each part of the Philippine flag has a symbolic meaning. The blue field stands for common unity and the noble desire of Filipinos. The white triangle represents fraternity and equality. The red field represents valor and patriotism. The sun symbolizes the gigantic steps made by the Sons of the land on the road to progress and civilization. The eight rays of the sun in the triangle represent the first eight united provinces that revolted for independence. The three stars in the triangle represent the major geographical divisions of the country which are Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Parol Star Wreath
