short range charging mast as part of a pilot of an electric bus program (“All Electric Bus”), East

41st Street at the 1st Avenue Viaduct, Manhattan, submitted by the Department of

gives to the same unanimous final approval with the understanding that (1) the designer will

closely oversee the fabrication of the mast to ensure all elements match the approved

drawings and notify the Public Design Commission if any changes are required; (2) a design

will be developed for all of the system-wide mechanical enclosures, consistent with the

enclosures approved for the Williamsburg Bridge Plaza; (3) the enclosure design will be

developed to allow for modification in the future, when smaller equipment becomes available;

and (4) DOT will submit revised proposals for the short and long range masts and the

enclosures prior to full deployment of the electric bus program. Approval is also given with the

recommendation that the mast graphics only utilize colors that are in the MTA standard palette,

in the event that the branding of the electric buses changes.
