DEGREE REQUIREMENTSAs a PhD candidate at ISM you may complete your degree requirements through a combination of courses in Paris programs in other locations and e-learning You must complete the Capstone Case Analysis and a doctoral dissertation and we recommend you do at least 25 of your coursework in person at one of our global locations
Required Research Methods Coursework
Coursework is central to both the PhD program and your ISM experience It is your chance to engage with our professors interact with classmates from around the world and benefit from the schoolrsquos global presence You may complete your coursework through a combination of courses in Paris programs in other ISM locations and e-learning

Teaching Requirement
As part of your PhD you must research prepare and deliver a course of study of at least 15 contact hours If you have taught a 15-hour course at an accredited university in the last five years you may be able to waive this requirement by submitting a copy of the syllabus student evaluations and course information
Capstone Case Analysis
You will complete the Capstone Case Analysis after you have completed 75 of your coursework It is worth 2 credits
Doctoral Dissertation
This is the culmination of your PhD journey You will write your dissertation under supervision from the Director of Doctoral Research and an assigned dissertation adviser and defend it before a committee to gain final approval

ONLINE VERSUS CLASSROOM It is recommended that you take at least six credits of in-person courses You may earn these from any coursework and in any location
1 ISM credits are based on US semester credits according to which 1 credit hour represents 46 learning hours The ECTS equivalent is 116 credits for the PhD degree

SPECIALIZATIONSThe core PhD curriculum equips you with the research methods you need to write a doctoral dissertation write research papers and or studies of publishable quality and oversee student research Beyond this core you must validate 18 credits of multidisciplinary coursework choosing from six specialization options All options other than International Business require you to validate nine credits or more of coursework in a specific discipline All six options represent the same number of credits and roughly the same investment of time and energy

Whether you need to request a transcript transfer credit or register for international programs our Student Services Coordinator is available to help Student Services can also assist with visa application processes and logistics attestations diplomas and most other matters concerning academic records and ISM policies and procedures

DEGREE REQUIREMENTSAs a PhD candidate at ISM you may complete your degree requirements through a combination of courses in Paris programs in other locations and e-learning You must complete the Capstone Case Analysis and a doctoral dissertation and we recommend you do at least 25 of your coursework in person at one of our global locations
