  • 1.Tell your friend that you want to be a part of his/her grieving process and that you are comfortable listening to his/her pain. 2.Grief takes time to learn to live with and never goes away. 3.   • 4. Remember you cant take away their pain you can let them know they are not alone. 5. Empathize with them say, Im so sorry to hear that this happened to you. 6.   • 7. Listen, be non-judgmental let them tell their story as many times as they need/want to. 8. Allow periods of silence be a good listener. 9.
