complete. Glazing in progress up to Bay 17. Additional deck removal in progress. East Gutter complete up to Bay 5, Central Gutter up to Bay 7 and West Gutter up to Bay 6. Lower Rib and Southern Façade hoarding in position and brick cleaning in progress. Clock tower roof complete and Southern Façade mullions installed. STS: Roof works complete.
• Project 3: Footbridge tiling commenced. Façade of Western Range building revealed following reduction in hoarding and rationalisation of CMS. • 2 FAT’s– A Fork Lift Truck operating in Meers compound came into
contact with a site gate. This caused the gate to become detached from the hinges and fall against a Heras fence panel The Heras fence panel hit an operative from Mace on the shoulder. The Mace operative carried on walking and bumped into some other material on the Mace site causing an injury to his leg.
– Piotr Wirkowski stumbled whilst accessing a staircase in the concourse area. He slipped and sprained his left wrist.
• 36 reported Close Calls. Trend of reported close calls is decreasing.
• Back to Work Safety Event held – 5 x sessions held on 03/01/12 led by the Principal Contractors. Attended by 400+ operatives.
• Occupational Health Programme – 201 hours saved due to on-site treatment in Period 9. 3461 hours saved to date (Period 2 to 9)

Heritage Relationships with English Heritage are continuing to be productive. Agreement on Retail fit out are progressing well. Location of the War Memorial not yet agreed, options being further developed and being consulted with all parties.

TOCs generally All training and familiarisation has now commenced on schedule. General concerns about slippage are being raised due to stretch targets on works being applied to programme contractors. ATG’s: EC has verbally confirmed they are procuring maintenance contract for 35 gates
East Coast Accommodation relocations: OBS return to basement has been rescheduled against the original stretch target with no impact on operations. Accommodation changes: EC has accepted in principle changes in accommodation arrangements proposed by NR Property
FCC Accommodation changes: FCC has responded to a proposal to leave the majority of their offices in the Eastern Range Building.

Commercial Property
Western Concourse tenants: one third of tenancy agreements have been finalised, with the remainder being progressed, anticipated for the end of January 12. The first 11 retail units have been passed to tenants for their fit-out to commence.Northern End Building Changes: Responses received from both FCC and EC, with alternative proposals being agreed in principle.

Progress: Project 11 General: GRIP 4 underway on Northern building and survey being undertaken on lift over-run area. Agreement from all stakeholders to progress with removal of Span wires. Contract to be awarded following sign off of change paper. STS drainage transferred to P11 from P2. 8/9 downpipes transferred from P2 – materials being free issued
Planned works for next period: Northern Building – Agree TOC accommodation and secure funding from property.Sign off Change paper to transfer Span wires to P11 then award contract and commence Grip 5.Boundary rationalisation change paper to be approved and works to be tendered (Form B underway with NR designer for Point heater feed)
