PEUGEOT on top form
at the 66th IAA international motor show at Frankfurt
After putting itself firmly back on track at the last motor show in Geneva, PEUGEOT has
really put its foot down over the first half of 2015 and will be appearing at Frankfurt on top
form: with 886,000 units sold by end June 20015, the car maker has seen a 3.9% increase
in worldwide sales, with strong growth in Europe (up 6.7%), Asia (up 9.6%), Africa and the
Middle East (10.9%) and India/Pacific (50.2%), while continuing to move its range up-
market.
Launching its assault on all fronts, PEUGEOT benefits from:
- the appeal of a very young range, with an average age of 2.6 years;
- the global success of the 308—the brand’s best-seller, no.1 in France and in the
European top 3 in segment C;
- The global car, the 2008 now produced on 3 continents and no.2 in Europe in the B-
SUV segment;
- The technological deployment of the new Euro 6 engines, with 25 best-in-class CO2
versions and the EAT6 automatic gearboxes.
1- Environmental footprint: Peugeot is the benchmark PSA PEUGEOT CITROËN has set itself the target of an average 95 g CO2/km within the EU-28, to
be reached by 2020. In the first five months of 2015, it was the first car maker to fall below 110 g
de CO2/km and reach 106.9 g CO2/km while the manufacturers’ average stands at 121.4 g CO2/km.
With average emissions of 106.3 g CO2/km, PEUGEOT is now in the lead, ahead of the big brands
in the CAFE ratings. This remarkable achievement was attained while increasing the sales of
SUV/CUVs and the petrol energy mix. Since 2012, PEUGEOT has reduced its CO2 emissions by
12.6% and by a further 3% over the first half of 2015. This performance is mainly explained by the
efficiency of the new Diesel BlueHDi and petrol PureTech engine ranges and the new EAT6 six-
speed automatic gearbox.
With 25 Best-In-Class vehicles in six different ranges, Peugeot has confirmed its position as the
benchmark for its environmental footprint and running efficiency. This applies to the full range,
from compacts to the big tourers. A few examples:
- in segment B, 208 1.6L BlueHDi 100 only emits 79 g of CO2/km and recently beat the world
fuel consumption record with just 2L/100 km!

- in segment D, 508 1.6 BlueHDi 120, fitted with the EAT6 six-speed automatic gearbox, only

2- 308 GTi by PEUGEOT SPORT: the worldwide sporting best-seller
Two years after its launch, PEUGEOT 308 has become the brand’s worldwide best-seller. In the
highly competitive European C segment, 308 is now in the top 3 (third best-selling vehicle in Europe,
in the hatchback and estate category). The vehicle, named Car of the Year in 2014, continues to
enjoy great success. Already the no.1 hatchback in France, the arrival of the SW version has made it
leader in its segment in France, Italy, Belux, Poland and the Netherlands. After the launch of the GT
and GT Line versions at the start of the year, 308 is picking up the pace again with the arrival of the
radical 308 GTi by PEUGEOT SPORT.
This version puts the 308 range in a whole new dimension, taking it to new heights. After RCZ R and
208 GTi 30th, 308 GTi is the third car in the range to wear the by PEUGEOT SPORT badge, certifying
its development by technicians, engineers and drivers from the competition department at Vélizy,
France.
Performance is guaranteed: with its 1.6L THP 270 hp turbo petrol engine, 308 GTi by PEUGEOT
SPORT gets from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6’’ and covers 1,000 m from a standing start in 25’’3 , with a
top speed electronically limited to 250 km/h. Thanks to its extraordinarily flexible engine with 169
hp/L and its weight limited to 1205 kg, 308 GTi by PEUGEOT SPORT only emits 139 g of CO2/km,
making it the benchmark in its category. Symbolising all the firm’s know-how, it hugs the road
thanks to its attitude lowered by 11 mm, and offers extraordinary road handling with its incredibly
efficient Torsen® limited slip differential, its Michelin Super Sport tyres fitted to 19” rims and, of
course, its huge 380 mm front brakes. It comes in 6 colours plus a Coupe Franche (clearcut
hatchback) version contrasting the Noir Perla Nera with the new Rouge Ultimate.

3- PEUGEOT 308 R Hybrid: supercar performance from a compact hatchback
With its tracks widened by 80 mm and its muscular stance, PEUGEOT 308 R HYbrid certainly stands
out from the crowd. And the figures are just as impressive: with plug-in hybrid technology that
develops 500 hp, including 270 from the 1.6L THP petrol engine and 2 electric motors with 115 hp
each, mounted one on each axle, it boasts a power-to-weight ratio of… 3.1 kg/hp and maximum
torque of 730 Nm. This formidable feline thus only takes 4’’ to get from 0 to 100 km/h and just 22’’
to cover 1,000 m from a standing start.
Based on the EMP2 platform of PEUGEOT 308 but with four-wheel drive, inside it has four individual
sport seats and emits just 70 g of CO2/km. The driver can choose between four driving modes, with
different power levels to suit the road: Hot Lap (500 hp), Track (400 hp), Road (300 hp) and ZEV (0
emission).
Spectacular, sensational, extraordinary... any number of superlatives can be used to describe this
fierce feline racer.

4- PEUGEOT 308 Racing Cup: born to race
A single glance is all it takes to understand its ambitions... and those of the PEUGEOT SPORT
engineers. Derived from 308 GTi by PEUGEOT SPORT, with which it shares its engine base, this 308
has been designed for the race track. Its name? PEUGEOT 308 Racing Cup.
Unlike its standard sister car, which develops 270 hp from its 1.6L THP turbo engine, this one will
reach 308 horsepower, 38 more than the road version! 14% more power for the new racer signed
PEUGEOT SPORT, which is also100 to 150 kg lighter than the standard version.
While it is fitted with the same powertrain components as PEUGEOT 308 GTi by PEUGEOT SPORT,
308 Racing Cup also comes with competition brakes with six-piston callipers and a six-speed
sequential gearbox with steering wheel mounted paddles.
308 Racing Cup has impressive style too, with its spoiler designed to WTCC standards to keep it on
the ground, and its flared wheel arches making it 106 mm wider than PEUGEOT 308 GTi by
PEUGEOT SPORT. Firmly seated on its wide 18” wheels, it is ready to hit the track. Its bumper
includes two wide air vents and a splitter.
On sale worldwide in late 2016, it will replace the RCZ Racing Cup in the PEUGEOT SPORT
promotion formulas and could be seen in saloon and sportscar racing series such as the VLN in
Germany, CER in Spain, CITE in Italy and BGDC in Belgium, or even endurance championships like
the 24H Series.

5- PEUGEOT FRACTAL concept: the PEUGEOT i-Cockpit® of the future
With more than 1.8 million customers won over since 2012 and the launch of 208, the PEUGEOT i-
Cockpit® has become the distinctive sign of the brand’s recent creations. In 2015, PEUGEOT will be
unveiling a new prospective study with an innovative concept known as PEUGEOT FRACTAL. The
futuristic lines of this electric city car reveal the new interpretation of the PEUGEOT i-Cockpit®,
where the focus is on sound to offer an even more instinctive drive.
Vision, touch and now hearing are called on to immerse the driver and passengers in a unique
sensory experience thanks to a 9.1.2 acoustic system combining a 9.1 hi-fi set-up with infra-bass
speakers built into the back of each seat for dynamic spatialisation of the sound.
Brazilian sound designer Amon Tobin worked with PEUGEOT’s style specialists to create an interior
sound identity for the concept car as well as its exterior signature, which varies depending on
whether the vehicle is accelerating, decelerating or driving at constant speed. It is designed to alert
pedestrians and cyclists, meaning the car is perfectly at home in an urban environment.
PEUGEOT FRACTAL also rolls out innovative technology in the cockpit. The heads-up system comes
with a digital tablet with HD holographic display, while the compact steering wheel has built-in
touch pads and a double touch-sensitive interface to control the functions and acoustic ambiance.
80% of the interior parts are 3D-printed, including the anechoic surfaces that guide the sound, just
like in a concert hall. Finally, the doors can be opened remotely using a Samsung Gear S watch.
Driven by a fully electric powerchain, this urban coupé develops 204 hp and has a driving range of
450 km thanks to its very sleek lines, its weight kept down to 1,000 kg and the Tall & Narrow with a
narrow tread surface. It is certainly swift, reaching 100 km/h in 6’’8 and covering 1,000 m in 28’’8. It
7
is perfectly at home in the city with its compact stance (just 3.81 m) and variable ground clearance
of 7 to 11 cm.
