Several of my significant career accomplishments include: -Implemented random drug testing programs at both KTI and Caraustar at both union free and union operations. -Coordinated training for total quality process, which transitioned a 10-plant organization from a traditional to a focused factory/empowered teams based structure. This included --scheduling plant tours, conducting symposiums, scheduling speakers, training sixty divisional facilitators and conducting team and lean manufacturing training. -Assisted in the divestment of the Gardner-Denver Mining and Construction Division, a major business unit of Cooper Industries. -Hired 1300 people in an 8-month period to meet the requirements of a new product line. -Managed the safety turn around of the facility that had the worst corporate safety record and achieved over one year without a lost time accident. -Facilitated two significant plant employee relation's improvements as measured by the SRA Opinion Survey. Both plants had scored poorly on prior assessment and charted dramatic improvements in a short period of time. -Successfully conducted election campaign in Newark, NJ defeating Local 108 L.I.U.N.A. AFL-CIO organizing efforts. -Implemented effective cost containment and aggressive safety and ergonomics programs that cut workers compensation cost by $336,000.00. -Coordinated the successful implementation of SAP and the resulting change management programs as well of the incorporation of the Human Resources module. I have interfaced with all levels of management in both a traditional and matrix structure and worked in both union and union free operations extending from single to multi site facilities ranging in headcount from 125 to 6000 employees in a variety of industries. My diverse background has provided me the ability to resolve a wide range of organizational problems at all levels within a corporation. I am open to relocation. I look forward to discussing this position and my background with you. Please feel free to call me at home. Peter A. Johnson
