1 - System information tutorial 1 - create a new profile for the systemwide information: - Click on 'new profile' (top center screen) - name your profile “system information” - select the newly created profile (top center screen - select profile box) 2 - Add relevant modules to the profile - switch to the 'Modules' tab - click on 'add new modules' (bottom left) - Select multiple modules (OSX: command-click; Windows: Control click) as illustrated on the right 3 - Run a ‘snapshot’ and see the results - click on 'Snapshot' button (bottom left) - wait for the snapshot to complete - Open the ‘environment information’ tab - click on ‘expand tree’ At this point, the extracted information will be shown, as in the screenshot below. Please note that multiple extractions will store different snapshots. 4 - Where is the data stored? - Open the PET/PET_data folder - 3 folders contain the logs, current configuration (including templates, profiles), and the extracted metadata - All files are plain text files, in JSON format - There is ongoing work to bring this data into standard schema (using the LRM that Pericles is developing and other standard ontologies).
