Digital Technology: Handheld camera – Using a handheld camera allowed me to use a

wide variety of shots such as close ups, establishing shots and long shots. During A2 I would like to improve this by making use of the TV studio so that I can impose images on top of the filmed image.

LiveType – I used live type in order to make credits and captions for the film. This became a running narrative through the film to enhance the story. In A2 I would like to use this to make the digi pak more professional.

Final Cut - I used final cut to edit my film, to add cuts, breaks and order my footage. In A2 I plan to use this to create more cuts to the beat of the song.

Research and Planning Shot List Animatic Timeline Planning Schedule

This helped to gather all material for when to film and where to film with who. The animatic helped to plan out which scenes would fit in each place. A lot more planning is involved in A2 and so using these techniques will help to keep on track.

Conventions of real media texts “Turn of the Screw” “Psycho”

I was able to imitate some iconic conventions of these films in order to make my film fit horror conventions but still keeping it fresh. I will make more use of media texts in A2 by watching a collection of music videos in order to keep to conventions of music videos.

Creativity

I feel in AS I was imaginative with my plot in that I tried to subvert the common conventions of horror. However I could improved this by using more imaginative shots to show this. In A2 I will use more shots to cut to the beat of the music and include subliminal messages for the audience.
