NEOLITHIC CULTURES

Between 5000 B.C. to 2000 B.C., Neolithic cultures flourished in several parts of the country.

They used stone tools, pottery and with simple agriculture.

The Han Dynasty

China was finally unified during the Han Dynasty.

Chinese population increased under the stability of the Han Dynasty.

Development of the foreign trade flourished.

Improvised industry assisted the society of China live more closely together.

The great wall

The Great Wall was built to keep out the barbaric Mongolians from the north.

The remarkable architectural design was strategically planned and the wall was built on the steepest edge of the mountainous terrains.

Workers were gruesomely treated and those who dared to complain or escape were buried alive.

china ruled the seasThe Yi peoples were believed to be the world’s first “boat-people.”

Their seamanship was astonishing that they were able to sail thousands of miles.

Sails, outriggers and other control devices were added to make them more seaworthy and maneuverable.

The ship designs are a symbol of the greatness of the emperor’s reign.
