After earning my Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services I will be looking for another employment opportunity in the Human Services Field.

I will continue to enhance my human service skills, talents and abilities through professional trainings, education, and professional experience.

I will gain professional relationships with other organization members in order to have knowledge and understanding of organizational policies and procedures of programs in the community.

I will help organizations identify service delivery issues and help organizations build collaborative relationships with other community organizations that have been successful in their service delivery and program outcomes.

I will assist organizations in finding resources to train staff in new program strategies to provide effective and efficient services to the community they serve.

I hope to one day utilize existing community resources to work collaboratively together to provide self-sufficiency training and skills to community members to eliminate dependency on welfare and promote job growth in our community.

Through my education at Judson University and my professional experience at the YWCA as a human services professional I have learned that I possess leadership skills to identify service delivery issues, develop a plan to resolve the issue, and empower staff to keep morale up to provide effective and efficient service delivery to the community we serve.

The leadership skills I have identified are that I am a big picture person, I am competent in program policies and procedures of the organization, I have established trust with staff, I empower staff to stay motivated in providing effective service delivery, I have a sense of humor and think positive to set a good example, I adapt to changes quickly, and I am an effective communicator in writing and in person.

My education at Judson University has enhanced my talents, abilities and skills as a Human Service Professional. I do receive 15 hours of mandated training through my employer in customer service, professional etiquette, cultural diversity, effective communication, time management, etc.

Empathy

In order to be an effective human service professional I must possess the ability to put myself in the shoes of the population I serve. I have compassion for those who are struggling to overcome obstacles of self-sufficiency and if I can provide assistance to overcome those obstacles I will.

Organization

I am very organized in my office area. Everything I need is filed in a specific place and is easily accessible when needed to provide effective and efficient service delivery.

Every client who enters the organization is treated with dignity and respect. As a human service professional I have learned about the values and culture of my clients. I have professional and personal experience in working with various age groups, various religious affiliations, various socioeconomic classes, various sexual orientation, those who are disabled, and various ethnicities.

The decisions I make as a Human Service Professional are based on the policies and procedures of the organization. I also take into consideration what is in the best interest of the client’s well-being. I hold myself accountable to comply with program outcomes and due dates assigned to get tasks done. If an error has occurred I take accountability and fix it immediately.
