What Will This Training Cover? One Day: Short Introduction Course Person Centered Thinking Training: Two Day Training Course Person Centered Thinking tools help you think and plan for life. They are used as practical ways to capture information that feeds into care and support planning, as well as to improve understanding, communication and relationships. The one day, four hour training will cover: • Learn the vocabulary and key concepts of person-centered thinking • Understand the three levels of change and where we can help make change • Begin to practice specific person-centered thinking skills • This is a short introductory training session ~ for in-depth training please consider the two-day course. The two day training will cover: • Discovering what is important TO and what is important FOR a person • The roles of rituals and routines • The power of being listened to • The impact of having control • What makes sense and what doesn’t: recording all perspectives • How to respectfully address issues of health and safety, and support choice • How to weigh variables when matching people who receive support and provide support • Creating goals that help people get what is important to them while addressing what is important for them (e.g., safety) Who Should Attend?
