The PEACH®

Conical HelixStructureyields high flowand maximumefficiency.

THE PEACH®

The PEACH® consists of severallateral sections of PEM formedinto a conical helix pattern. Eachsection consists of multiple helicalywrapped layers. Through thermalbonding, these spiral layers areapplied to conform and overlapthe previous layer, forming acone…the conical helix structure.This structure results in a gradeddensity pattern that yields highcontaminant loading, structuralstrength, maximum efficiency, andexcellent reproducibility.

GRADED DENSITYEach layer of the PEACH® filterperforms a particular function.While all layers are designed to aspecific micron rating, each lateralsection removes contaminants.The outer layer typically removesthe bulk solids. As contaminantsmove through the depth of thecone, the filter densities increaseto meet increase to meet therequired micron rating. The innerlayers of the filter providestructural strength.

PECO® ENGINEERED MEDIAPEM, specifically designed forfiltration coalescing, is the keycomponent in the production ofthe PEACH® gas element. The PEMis designed with an assignedmicron rating and efficiency. Rawfibers of various denier areweighed, blended and thermallybonded, then formed into acompressed filter media sheet.Various layers of PEM are thenused in the manufacture of thePEACH® gas element.

•Recommended Torque to Seal Filters: 5-10 ft-lbsNOTE: This Torque should not be exceeded.

Notes:1. Polypropylene is recommended in filter/separators which aredownstream of an amine processing plant due to possible contactwith carryover amine fluids.

2. It is recommended that a core be used in the PCHG elementswhen retrofitting into some vessels other than PECO.PECO vessels incorporate a full length element z-bar carrier tosupport the element and therefore do not require a core in thestandard 4.5” O.D. filters.
