8/5/14 To: Don Smith Re: Fruhling Truck Route Approval Request-Tilt49 We are working with Mortenson Construction on an excavation project that, at this time, is called “Tilt49”. The project is located at 1812 Boren Ave. The project covers a half block between Stewart St, Boren Ave, Howell St and the alley between Boren Ave & Minor Ave. The demolition is scheduled to start late February 2015, immediately followed by the shoring and mass exc work. There is approximately 100,000tcy of dirt to haul away for the mass exc. We see an average of 10-12 dump truck and trailer combinations per hour hauling the spoils away from this site for approximately 70-80 days. The structural exc work will see 2-3 truck and trailers per hour another 10-15 days. As of now, we plan on loading the truck and trailers mainly off the Boren Ave & Howell St sides during the mass exc, with some loading needed along Stewart St and the alley to finish up the structural exc work. The trucks will stay out of the dirt and help prevent any tracking. All trucks will keep in contact via cb radios and/or cell phones to help prevent trucks from queuing and/or staging on city streets. A sweeper truck will be used when necessary to keep the streets clean. We will have a full time TCS flagger and temporary signage to help our trucks enter and exit the loading areas. Please see our proposed truck routes below and let me know if they meet your approval or if we need to make changes. To the site: -To Boren Ave Load Area: Heading south on I-5, exit onto Stewart St, go past Boren Ave, turn left onto 9th Ave, turn left onto Howell St, turn left onto Boren Ave and pull in next to the excavator sitting in the Boren Ave sidewalk area to be loaded. -OR- -To Howell St Load Area: Heading south on I-5, exit onto Stewart St, go past Boren Ave, turn left onto 9th Ave, turn left onto Howell St, go past Boren Ave and pull in next to the excavator sitting in the Howell St sidewalk area to be loaded. -OR- -To Stewart St Load Area: Heading south on I-5, exit onto Stewart St, go past Minor Ave and pull in next to the excavator sitting in the Stewart St sidewalk area to be loaded. -OR- -To Alley Load Area: Heading south on I-5, exit onto Stewart St, go past Minor Ave, turn left onto the alley between Boren Ave and Minor Ave, and pull in next to the excavator sitting along the alley area to be loaded.
