Performance and Visual Art(Dance, Music and Theatre pathways)

• The course is rooted in Fine Art and Performance histories.

• Fine Art - painting, drawing, sculpture, collage, photography, video, film.

• Performance - music, dance, theatre - concerned with the live, movement, the present, the body.

• The Performance and Visual Art course offers shared teaching across the different pathways and subject specific teaching within the pathways.

Applicants have a range of prior visual and performance experience including -

• Art and Design pre degree foundation diploma or BTEC national diploma in a

relevant subject. Offers are made following interview and portfolio review.

• A levels and accompanying portfolio can provide sufficient grounding for entry

to the course. A level grades expected are ABB typically this translate as UCAS

320 points. Individuals who do not meet the entry requirements, but who can

demonstrate a sufficiently advanced portfolio of work and experience are

encouraged to apply.

• BTECH National Diploma Level 3 expected profile DDD.

• QAA - approved access course; individual assessment. Subject specific units

preferred.

• GCSE (minimum grade C) a good profile.

• HND/ Foundation degree. Direct to Level 5 for suitable candidates. HNC not

suitable.

•Non - native speakers of English IELTS 6.0 overall, 6.0 in writing and a

minimum of 5.5 in the other elements.

• Mature applicants welcomed.
