How is the problem of discrimination understood in Latin American soci-eties? And what does it mean when
a person says they have experienced discrimination? This presentation
explores the phenomenon of discrimination—particularly ethnic and racial discrimination—in Latin America, and how individuals per-
ceive unfair treatment, and why they might attribute that treatment to eth-
nic or racial discrimination.
