Directions: On each page click the “title” which is a link to a website and follow the prompts on each slide. Write and number all your responses on a separate sheet of paper and submit for credit. Use content in Ch.6 to help you w/ your answers.

1.Visit: Luminance and Contrast— “Adelson’s checker shadow” illusion. Read summary and click the visual. Written Response: Explain the perceptual constancy in effect and why it works? 2.Visit: Cognitive/Gestalt Effects— “Hidden Message” Read & do trial. Written Response: Explain how it demonstrates ground-figure effect?

3.Visit: Space 3D & Size Constancy– “Muller-Lyer Illusion” Attempt to bisect the line perfectly. Written Response: What’s the principle behind this illusion?
