My feelings about poetry

I like rhymes. It can tell a story by using

rhymes :]

You have to watch out for the beats or

not the poetry will be weird :[

But sometimes its hard to make poetry and

use the correct tone and stuff like that :[

Poetry has to have this some sort of

moral or something

“THE TIGER” BY WILLIAM BLAKE 1757-1827

TIGER, tiger, burning brightIn the forests of the night,

What immortal hand or eyeCould frame thy fearful symmetry?

In what distant deeps or skiesBurnt the fire of thine eyes?

On what wings dare he aspire? What the hand dare seize the fire?

And what shoulder and what artCould twist the sinews of thy heart? And when thy heart began to beat,

What dread hand and what dread feet?

What the hammer? what the chain? In what furnace was thy brain? What the anvil? What dread grasp

Dare its deadly terrors clasp?

When the stars threw down their spears,And water'd heaven with their tears,

Did He smile His work to see?Did He who made the lamb make thee?

Tiger, tiger, burning brightIn the forests of the night,

What immortal hand or eyeDare frame thy fearful symmetry?

The person used old

words and he used some

words that I don't

understand, so I don't

really get the poem

Stopping by woods on a snowy evening by robert frost

Whose woods these are I think I know. His house is in the village though; He will not see me stopping hereTo watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queerTo stop without a farmhouse nearBetween the woods and frozen lakeThe darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shakeTo ask if there is some mistake. The only other sound's the sweepOf easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep. But I have promises to keep,And miles to go before I sleep,And miles to go before I sleep.

About the poem “stopping by woods on a snowy evening”

Someone is in the forest and he saw a house that is covered

in snow. He was riding his horse and he thinks that the horse

will find it weird if they suddenly stop in the forest and maybe

he is there when the sun is going down.

He stopped the horse again and asked himself if he is lost but

no one answered him, he can only hear the wind. He is praising

the woods beauty but he has something else to do so he has

to go home but his house is miles away.

So the point is, I think he was thinking of passing the forest

but the he got lost with his horse in the forest at night time.

He tried asking someone/himself the way home but he can only

hear the wind that sounds like bells and his home is far away.

Pictures and reason

<--picture 1

picture 2-->

Picture number 1 fits better because it's a scary forest

and the sun is going down and it is getting dark and

there is also like shadows. But there is no horse and

no person in it. Also, it fits the poem well because the

poem is mysterious and the picture is also mysterious.

So they are compatible for each other.Friday, May 4, 2012

what dogs look like when they’re asleep

When my dog is asleep,His tail is still and his face is calm.

He is a heavy sleeper. He sleeps easily and it’s hard to wake

him up.He has his own bed.

His ears seem to be always up and he never have his ounge out

when he sleeps.

dog sleeping

When I read the poem, it reminds me of my

dog but he doesn't sleep under a tree. He sleeps

on the cold floor and his bed. I think the poem

shows that the dog likes to sleep a lot and

maybe the dog is going to be fat because it

looks likes he doesn't exercise and he only

eats and sleeps. The poem describes a lot about

a dog sleeping and is sort of accurate. Maybe

the author is a dog lover and have a lot of

dogs, thats why he or she wrote a poem

about a dog.

DION, MY DOG………………………..❤He was a puppy

From my other dog

He was so cute

And so happy

With us

When he was

Still a puppy,

He learned to walk,

And he wig – wig - wiggled

As he was walk - walk - walking

We took walks together,

Also with his mom.

They tried to eat frogs

At the playground

And I will always laugh

When they did that

But then

One day,

In a stormy night,

It was raining hard

And Dion was sick

He got a cold

The vets came

They told me he couldn’t be saved

He was brought

Inside my house

As I sat beside him

He was so quiet

He barely moved

But I had to go sleep

And before I slept

I kept wondering

What they will

Do to him,

If he’s okay

The next day

I have school.

Before I got home,

My mom picked me up

And she said

Dion died

My heart sank

But when I got home,

I was too late

He was already buried

So I made him a drawing

And some writings

To rest in peace

Who loved to shout the word Sparta

People thought she was weird
