150 sessions bringing together movements from across the world for system change.

Welcome to the People’s Summit. While world leaders meet to negotiate our futures at COP26, awill gather to discuss, learn and strategise for system change. We can’t wait to get started.

Public health and safety during the ongoing pandemic is our primary concern. We have planned all activities over COP26 to minimise the risk of spreading COVID-19. We are fighting for climate justice at COP against the backdrop of global vaccine inequality and a need to keep everyone in our communities – both in Glasgow and abroad – safe.

INTERPRETATIONMany of our sessions will be held in numerous languages. To ensure you can follow our sessions please download the Interactio app which we will use to provide interpreted audio through your smart phones. Please download the app at home before the summit to familiarise yourself with it. Wifi is available at all our venues - speak to volunteers to access wifi.

1. Connect to the Wifi2. Visit App/ Play Store3. Download Interactio App 4. Enter Event Code5. Choose language channel6. Listen

COVID CHECKLIST:NEW DAY, NEW TEST, NEW WRISTBAND

SUMMIT PROGRAMME

Take a Lateral Flow Test at home - these are free and can be delivered to your house by the NHS or collected from any pharmacy, some distribution hubs and at the Covid Registration Site outside 252 Sauchiehall Street G2 3EQ.

Register the result with the NHS online. You can also do this through the ZOE app, or take a picture of yourself with the test with a timestamp as proof.

Use your proof to collect your wristband for that day at the Covid Registration Sites - the main one is at the address above. You can find out updates about other sites on our website.

Download the ‘Protect Scotland’ contact tracing app.

Find your events on the programme and make your way to the venue.

All events run on a first come first served basis - so please arrive on time!

Doors open 20 min before each event.

Please note we will keep aside some seats, including for accessibility needs until just before the event starts.

Provide contact details for test and trace when entering the venue, in writing or by scanning the QR code with the ‘Check In Scotland’ app.

Enjoy!

ACCESSIBILITYOn our website our programme is marked with a traffic light system indicating the level of engagement needed to participate:

z Green: interactive event needing engagement from the audience

z Yellow: some engagement from the audience

z Red: no engagement from the audience during the event

All of our venues are wheelchair accessible except for the Garnethill Multicultural Centre, Main Hall. For further venue specific accessibility information refer to our accessibility statement on our website. Our accessibility coordinator and volunteers will be present at our main venue: Adelaide Place, 209 Bath Street, G2 4HZ

For any specific inquiries please contact [email protected]

ANTI-OPPRESSION AND WELLBEINGWe are offering multiple wellbeing spaces (marked in the programme in bold font, located at Adelaide Place, Fred Paton Centre and Woodlands) to ensure that the People’s Summit is safe and inclusive. These will include areas for reflection, meditation and mindful discussion, BIPOC-only spaces, family areas and nursing bays. We will also provide educational resources, arts materials and tea and coffee. Volunteers will be present to discuss any challenging feelings or ideas experienced at the events.

EMERGENCIESIf you are concerned, lost or in distress please speak to one of our volunteers who will be wearing an orange lanyard.

z All of our venues will have first-aid provision - ask a volunteer to help you. z If you have a child or adult protection concern, talk to one of the

volunteers who will escalate it to the safeguarding leads. If you feel a matter needs urgent attention and you cannot talk to a volunteer immediately, call the safeguarding team 07858983604

z For emergency services like ambulance/fire brigade, you can call 999 or 111. Please also inform a volunteer if you are inside a venue.

z For protest legal support, contact the the Scottish Community & Activist Legal Project (SCALP) Legal Back Office on 0131 322 5322

MASKS, DISTANCING AND SYMPTOMS:Unless you are exempt, face masks are mandatory at all activities – inside and outside. Physical distancing of a minimum of 1 meter applies at all of our events both inside and outside, except within households or accommodation bubbles. If you have symptoms, do a test and isolate.
